Ye Olde Narrogin Inne

Excellent service from the young waiter, attentive and friendly. Meal was fine, not spectacular. Salt and Pepper squid, well cooked and tasty, served on a pretty plain salad. The inside room was comfortable, although the decor was a little old and dated. Prices were very reasonable. I'd definitely eat there again.

Haynes Bar and Grill

Heading through Armadale on the Armadale Road, i looked up TripAdvisor to see what was in the area, I found Haynes Bar and Grill, located just off Eighth Road. So we pulled in and walked in to grab a table, the waitstaff were so happy and helpful. We ordered some cheesy garlic bread to share and I ordered the lamb shank and my friend the Chicken Fettuccini. Unfortunately for us, we were sat near the dessert display, and those gorgeous desserts kept calling to us. It wasn't too long and we had received our cheesy garlic bread which curved our desire for the desserts. Then not much of a wait when our main meals arrived, both our meals looked yummy. The only bit i can fault is that the Lamb shank, the menu said it came with gravy but the lamb shank I received had more of a spicy sauce over it. (I am not one for hot spicy foods - just a personal taste thing) but otherwise the lamb was tender and falling off the bone, and my friends chicken fettuccini was tender and creamy. When we finished up we both decided to jump in and get dessert, I cant remember the names, but they where rich and very indulgent, no dinner for me tonight. For two with a starter, main meals, desserts and drinks $99.50 Thank you for a great lunch out.

Gosnells Hotel

Firstly must compliment the manager on his attempts to find gf vegetarian options, however took over 1.5 hours to receive our meals, children were starving! Thank goodness there were activities for the kids while they waited. Waiters never checked in to see if we’d like to order drinks or advise of wait or issue with gf vege meal, this was discussed 60 mins after we ordered. Meals were not received as ordered ie no chips with burger & different sauce, tea never arrived. Toilets were disgusting, both male & female covered in toilet paper, urine & doors that didn’t lock. Restaurant itself looks tired, dirty & in desperate need of an overhaul. Will not return!

Tough dry pork in overcooked bread-crumbs with stale, sad. wilted salad greens and gravy that obviously came out of a packet or tin, it had a nasty chemical taste and the consistency of wall-paper glue. However, staff exceptionally nice and the chips filled a bit of a hole - my two friends were similarly unimpressed. especially the one who got the stale prawns, and we will be voting also with our 3 pairs of feet. Pity because we used to meet there regularly. I complained quietly and politely, explaining that I was *not* after a refund. Staff apologetic and concerned. However, not a word of apology or regret from the management....

Brooklands Tavern

As locals we have visited this establishment several times always hoping our experience would get better. But no, this place is ordinary. Bar staff have terrible customer service skills. They don't answer the phone because they think they are "too busy". Or will pick up the phone and hang up on you. Very poor.Hello Happiness02973783017 and thank you for your review. I'm sorry to read that your experience was unsatisfactory at Brooklands. We pride ourselves on good customer relations and we always answered our phone but as you can imagine at times during peak hours when we are busy we may miss calls due to serving customers in the venue. We would never hang up on anyone. I'm not sure what may have happened but I'm positive it was an accident. Please feel free to contact me at anytime to discuss how you feel we could improve. If you would like me to contact you I would be happy to, my email is [email protected] you would like to send your number.Kind regards Kerri Smith, Venue Manager
