Mondo, a cozy place full of charm located in La Bisbal d`Emporda downtown. Best option in town for wood-fired craft pizzas and tasty fishes and meats. Go for our shared dishes. Amazing private terrace over the river shore.

We went to this restaurant twice this week as itâs pizzas are so good. The service is also very friendly as they managed a serious allergy one of our party has. I recommend the Carolina pizza (very hot), the Mondi and the Provençal pizzas. There is a great little terrace out the back too

This is one of the special places we used to go to but in the last few years the last owners neglected it alot so we stopped going. Passing by today we could see the change of menu and decoration and were told it was run by new people so we gave it a try and were decently surprised! The fresh fish (I chose halibut) cooked in the old log fire bread oven was amazing and the lobster paella the same. The desserts need to be spruced up but we were told soon as they had just started and still were trying things out. Staff very polite and do their best. Hope they carry on like today, we will come back for sure!

Very helpful and polite waitress, managed to get a table of 6 for us without a booking on a busy evening (to be fair I imagine most of their evenings are busy).. The pizzas and wine were fantastic, we also shared a few side salads which were lovely. I would definitely recommend the bolognese pizza. At the end of the meal we were given complimentary limoncello. Can't wait to return here when we come back to Pals next year.

We just loved this place! Katja was a fabulous host and the food was simply excellent. A real taste of Germany in Catalonia. We had the Schnitzels and the Strudel of course! We were in heaven. Unpretentious, delicious food and superb hospitality. It's surprising that there are very few pizza restaurants on the Emporda coastline and even more surprising that most of them can't make a decent pizza. In Begur there's Pizzeta, but their pizzas, although quite tasty, aren't very authentic...for a start they're small and square! Then there's La Pasta on the promenade in Llafranc. They do serve some good thin crust pizzas but some are let down by the quality of the ingredients. No, if you want a true thin crust, 12 inch, authentic pizza made with the tastiest ingredients you have only one choice, El Pati in Pals. You can dine in, their courtyard terrace is very nice, or you can takeaway, although they don't deliver. You won't get better in the Emporda region believe me! Just remember that outside the summer season they only open in the evenings from Thursday to Sunday.
