We went to El Doge twice on our recent trip to Mataró. Once with family & the second time with much larger group. Both times we were made to feel extremely welcome by the staff, were not rushed through our meals and were shown a lot of patience with our inability to decipher all of the menu. The food is simple but extremely good quality & tasty. The atmosphere is lovely with a definite family feel to it. We felt that we could have stayed in there for hours. The mussels, pasta dishes & salads were particularly good. The beer and wine were excellent & we felt that the price was fabulous for such a lovely meal. Nice and original pizzas. Some of them are made with traditional catalan ingredients like the pizza with "calçots" (typical catalan onion).Excellent creps at the menu as well.I didn't like the Sangria, but the Tiramisu was delicious.

Pizza and Pasta were all good and had gluten free! They are open after 830pm and not on Sunday so be ware of the hours before going. It was located on a quiet street and not much else around but still good when you need gluten free.

Amazing. Each dish was exquisite. We had a walnut and pear filled pasta with Gorgonzola sauce, a cheese ravioli with red sauce, and a traditional margarita pizza. This was actually better than the margarita pizza we had in Naples. I am so full right now that I feel sick but I want to eat more. Don't pass this up. Walking around Mataro looking for a place to eat lunch, we ended up near the beach.Dolce Vita offered a menu of the day. Really nice food for 12,50 Euro. Pizza was great. Had a good dinner with my husband for only â¬10. Pizza is good and quality/price is good too. The place has a cozy terrace. More than average, but not very good: if stuff was more friendly and helpful, could be better.

Our friends advised us this restaurant, knowing our affection fo Italian and Neapolitan cuisine, pointing out that very experienced Chef from Napoli cooks and creates dishes there! And we were not disappointed. My friend loved pasta carbonara and I ordered entrecot con provolone origanato that was delicious!Service was also excellent.Recommended for all Italian food lovers!

On a Sunday night in Mataró we werenât expecting to find a good meal but saw the reviews of this pizzeria on TA so made a reservation. This restaurant could be easily overlooked and some would be put off by its lack of glamour but donât be. It is a small, family run restaurant with caring and attentive service and quite honestly the best pizza I have ever had! No exaggeration! Really! If you live near Mataró then you are very lucky to have this lovely restaurant to eat at! Many many thanks!

Certainement le meilleur italien que nous ayons jamais fait !The two chiefs were really warm, smiling and friendly and shared their love and pride of the Italian cuisine with pleasure. We enjoyed the fresh products and the good taste of the meals and finished in a blaze of glory with handmade panacotta and tiramisu.
