The pizza was poor and not very tasty. The atmosphere and seating was not the best. Felt as though we were stuck n a back yard.

Del Arte

As you'll find that franchised restaurant a bit all over France by the side of commercial/industrial areas, don't expect fine cuisine. It's like a fast food, Italian style. The service was efficient and friendly. But the food was average. The "escalope milanaise" has been tenderised and the osso bucco, if tender, was a bit strange with its perfectly identical tiny square pieces of vegetables in a gooey tomato sauce.

Friendly staff made the effort to translate to english which is refreshing when many in the French catering industry are rude to foreigners who don't have good French. Meal was nice, prices reasonable. We both enjoyed and would recommend to anyone. We tried a few other eateries in Compeigne but when asked if they have even little English to translate the menu were met with unhelpful and even disrespectful replies. I don't expect French people to have fluent English. But any business in a tourist trade with lots of English speaking customers will know enough to translate the basics of their menu and try to assist their customers. We were happy here after mixed experiences throughout France. Some understand to assist the customer in a pleasant manner and you will receive decent tips and get fair reviews. It is a fact that there are rude individuals working in hotels and restaurants throughout France that shouldn't be dealing with the public. In the past I would tolerate it to some degree. Now i refuse to give my custom to a restaurant or hotel that doesn't at least try to be helpful)) Rant over. I recommend this restaurant

We followed the TripAdvisor recommendation and were not disappointed. They ONLY serve pizza ( so no pasta or anything else), but with fresh and the best ingedrients. the very friendly lady (I presume the owner) explained that they used fresh dough they let develop/rise over a number of days. Our dough was 8 days old and you truly taste it is different from what you normally get. It was light and very crispy. The pizzas were were pretty big and topped with rucola. So highly recommended for anyone who appreciates something out of the ordinary and fresh products. The icecream was also outstanding.
