We wanted to try somewhere different, so we chose Bella Pizza. It's very small, just twelve tables. My SO had pasta, which tasted pretty good but the sauce didn't stick to it. I assume they put oil on the pasta to keep it from sticking together. Pasta came with two meatballs, which neither of us liked. The salad was okay, but was only salad mix, onions and croutons. The slice of bruschetta-topped bread was good. They also included warm bread and butter. I had a sub which was also okay but had too much sub sauce, which made it very messy. We had a friendly server and probably will return in the future to try their calzone. We were told it's made with four kinds of cheese.

Some of the best pizza in the area. They deliver fresh made with all kinds of toppings. Standard decor with staking chairs and plain, wobbly tables. The decor costs them a star. Go for the food.

Visiting with family, the worker who helped us (long brown hair in braids, rather short female) was clearly intoxicated. She had red eyes she could barely keep open, and smelled of pot. I am disgusted because i love to come to this restaurant with my children, and am a fan of the food. Disappointed. Good afternoon,We were as surprised as you to hear about this situation. We are hoping that you would be able to provide us with more information. Would you be able to contact our manager, Carl, at 607-722-6331 please. We are very sorry that you had this experience.

I used to eat here when I was in college and loved it and its still open with same owners and good food. Recently I reserved the banquet room for a memorial service and the owner waited on us and her husband was cooking the food. They are so kind and hard working people. The NY style pizza is a fav, and they have a salad bar with lots of greens. I had ravioli and chicken parm, the portions were gangster!

Stopped in for a bite to eat after drinks downtown. We ordered the antipasto which was plentiful with marinated vegetables, cheeses and italian meats for an appetizer. We also had the spinach salad and the Homeland Pizza. The pizza with sausage, spinach, mozzarella was spiced just right and cooked perfectly with a light crisp crust. Of course we ordered wine and beer. They offer a wide variety of wine, beer, full bar and a variety of coffees.

I ordered this just for the name. Stuffed meat pie. Nothing fancy. Nothing pretentious. And completely delicious. Others in my group got bbq chicken pizza, a spinach roll, and a pepperoni mushroom slice. Everyone was happy with their choices. The decor is barebones. A large mural on the wall, chairs, and tables. I like a place that focuses on the food the way this place does. We got our meal street the baseball game. It was a 3 minute drive from the stadium. I am pretty sure this just became our go-to post-game place.

Citrea

Reviewed By oneupstatenewyorker

Citrea has been our favorite restaurant in Binghamton since they opened - we are there pretty much every Friday night. The food is consistently delicious, with pizza and a carefully curated menu of small plates which are not easily rivaled anywhere in the area, incl Ithaca. I was surprised to see one reviewer comparing the pizzas to Blaze. We enjoy Blaze, but there is no real comparison to be made. Blaze is its own corporate-derived but solid product, with a thin crust, made quickly, with good ingredients for a very good price. However, as an example, the Margherita pizza at each venue is quite different, with the crust being part of the primary difference. While the pizzas are close to the same price, the Citrea pie is considerably more substantial, despite being the same size and having a paper thin crust as with the Blaze pizza. Citrea's crust is chewy, substantial, delicious. The Blaze crust is somewhat non-existent, except as a vehicle for the sauce. At Citrea, I request the fresh mozzarella on my pie, as they made them in the beginning. Some like it with the shredded mozzarella. Another positive aspect of Blaze is total customizability, for all toppings etc. But there is no way I would prefer a Blaze pie over a Citrea pie, though it would do in a pinch! Also, the service at Citrea is exceptional - we've had a number of very good servers over time, and have commented on how they always manage to get great people. You can eat there very inexpensively, if you just get a pizza, but the prices can become somewhat high, depending on which salads and other dishes you might order. However, what you get is also consistent, inventive, and very good. We love, love this place, with outdoor seating in the summer - it's Binghamton's best kept secret!
