Enjoyable Lebanese restaurant with food with a difference. The dish I ordered was zucchinis stuffed with minced lamb and rice in a tomato sauce. It was yummy and something I have never had before. My partner ordered a type of pilaf with sliced lamb, also yummy. Their were a few interesting sounding vegetarian dishes as well. A belly dancer came in at about 8.00pm, a bit of fun as she got others up dancing.

Shukah

Casual Armenian-inspired restaurant serving mouth-watering flavours from the Middle Eastern

This is the sister of two other Armenian restaurants including Sezer in the city. It's a nice space especially on a warm evening with the window open. The food is fabulous - what the Armenians call 'western Armenian' - now eastern Turkey - so much of the food has a Turkish resemblance. The humble humus was served with a wonderful pide bread - both fabulous. The freekeh fritter and boureq were also great. Prawns, chicken and barramundi were also nice accompanied by pilaf. Delightful service and very accommodating for our friend who does not eat salt - separate, salt free versions provided where the dish included salt by prior arrangement

Cafe Claremont

Down a sloping avenue, opposite Malvern Train Station and tucked away in Claremont Village, this cafe has long been popular with the locals and now has a redesigned menu ready to be rediscovered. Enjoy the beautifully presented, modern Australian cuisine

I stopped in here for brunch today and found a vibrant warm cafe that welcomes Iocals like family. The coffee was excellent and quick, I ordered a hash stack which came with beans, hot fresh pita bread, bacon and avocado, I added a poached egg and this was a delicious bowl of food. They make a lot of food in house and the muffins look really good, so definitely pop in if you’re in Malvern and looking for a nice spot to take breaky, brunch or lunch.
