Got our order right and good for a fresh lunch. We had some big eaters, so was good for a budget. Very clean and good location. Easy to fined.
For a fun and authentic ethnic dining experience, El Gran Taco is worth the effort. Soooooooooooo many kinds of meat and every one made from scratch: pastor en trompo, asada, carnitas, cabeza, barbacoa, tripitas, pollo a la parrilla. Choose a burrito, taco, torta or quesadilla with any of these meats. Various salsas that are also made in house.Everything fresh...nothing canned or bottled.
Stopped in for lunch when arriving for a week long stay. Staff was nice, cocktails were good, food was authentic and very tasty - beware of huge portions!!! The burritos could feed two! Highly recommend the mole sauce, very good off the main drag spot, nice outdoor patio area too!

Oh my! YUM YUM!!We shared the roasted chicken fresh from the spit and it was soooo perfectly moist!! Came with rice and beans. Also ordered a few tacos...the al pastor was a bit too spicy for me but my tolerance is next to nothing. a normal person prob. wouldn't find it spicy at all. we also ate guac, salsa and chips. This was such a perfect lunch!!!

This food is the best Mexican food outside of Yucatan, Mexico, according to my husband who is from Mexico. I would have to agree that the food is incredibly authentic, and it's made from local and fresh ingredients as much as possible. The owners are very friendly, knowledgeable, and really care about their customers and providing excellent food. The prices are very affordable, and there's a lovely garden for enjoying food on warm Sonoma afternoons and evenings. Be aware that during the summer, it's closed on farmers market day; however, you can find them in the square in Sonoma Plaza to enjoy their fine offerings.

Small Mexican restaurant with very friendly service, great tasting food, a unique âhole in the wall â ambiance and many regular local customers. The restaurant serves a variety of delicious burritos and tacos and provides an excellent green salsa to go with their chips. We eat here often.

A group of us ate here for lunch. The service was prompt. The food was delicious with very generous portions. There was a self service salsa bar which was a nice touch. This restaurant satisfied our taste for Mexican food.

Maya Restaurant is located in Downtown Sonoma and serves Mexican cuisine. Happy Hour offered Monday to Friday: 5:00 PM - 6:00 PM
Latin American cuisine, upscale Mexican with Yucatán flavors. Inside find chunky wood chairs and tables, and happy, colorful murals that transport one to Latin America.Hot fresh chips with salsa and ice water appear at your table as you sit, and the menu has something for everyone. We love the fish tacos, guacamole and Chile rellenos.Margaritas are also big and good.Iâve come here for years because the Latin American decor is upbeat and a treat to visit besides the reliably good food.Parking is easy to find around the Sonoma square.

Two for dinner on the outside patio. Good selection of tequila's and they kept our chip basket full. Guacamole to start was very good. The Paella and Taco salad were good and plentiful. Uneven service to begin with, but quickly improved. Give it a try.
