La Plaza Bakery

This place is great! I'm a total gringo from a beach town, and we needed a quick break while on the 101. It's a Hispanic neighborhood, and this bakery also has amazing burritos, tamales, tortas, refrigerated drinks, chips, and Coffee bar. Modern clean space, and lots of seating. Bilingual staff behind the counter, so asking questions and ordering in English was no problem. We plan to stop again on our way back in a few days. Thanks to the owners for having this business, it brightened our day!!

El Michoacano Restaurant

El Michoacano is like my favorite restaurant in Zihautanejo. Cheerful murals painted on the walls, friendly staff, large selection of cold Mexican beer....and some of the most tasty SHRIMP TACOS I've ever had. (At a $1.75 each order a few if your really hungry) We also ordered a shrimp tostada which came so loaded down with shrimp it resembled an open-faced shrimp cocktail. If you're running up or down HWY 101, Greenfield is a nice little farming town to stop and chill out to expierence some Hispanic Culture and great cuisine at good prices.

LA Fogata

Reviewed By hossridr

Our family has been going to this restaurant for almost 40 years now. Ownership has changed at least once that I know of, but the food is still good-excellent, though there isn't as much of it as there once was. The quality is still there, however. I usually opt for the La Fogata Special. That is a combination of a sopa, chicken or beef enchilada, and beef or chicken taco. I have had other combos as well and they are all delicious. Fresh tortillas are served as soon as you arrive along with fresh home made tortillas chips and chili sauce. Both are excellent. The only complaint I have is sometimes it takes awhile for the waitress to take your order after she brings the chips and tortillas. Also the wait time after she takes your order. So wait times are the only complaint I have. Other then that, it's a truly epicurean experience.
