First time here.Service was Excellent.Perfect Margarita ($9.99) and Corona with lime ($5.25).Complimentary Chips and Salsa, which was good but not a hot spicy bite to it, which I prefer.Small Guacamola which was fresh, tasty and exceptional. ($4.99).2 at ( $9.99) Enchilada Wed., One chicken, One Ground Beef, with rice and beans was Great but not the best that I have ever had. Total Bill: $42.82, with tip $50.00, Dinner for two.I would recommend a visit.Ric, thank you for the wonderful review...during your next visit I would encourage you to try adding one or our house made hot sauces to your salsa for that extra bite! Other than that I am glad you enjoyed your visit!

I’m from California and I’m extremely picky about my Mexican food. I’ve struggled to find Mexican food that I like here in Southwest FL. I’ve tried every Mexican restaurant in and around Fort Myers and this one in Estero is the very best one. The food has fantastic flavor! The ambiance isn’t the best, but I come for the food!!! Their chicken enchiladas are fantastic! Also love their salsa too!

Tacos & Tequila Cantina

This was my second time here and I was meeting my friends for lunch. It was 2 for 1 margaritas, Sunday, busy. My friends had been there for a few moments, already ordered drinks, they were staring at the bar where their drinks were, a few feet from us. We sat and sat, I didn't have anything in front of me for almost ten minutes and we watched as our server checked on her other tables and poured refills - it seemed she forgot that she had put the drink order in? Like we seriously only had a basket of chips, salsa and queso dip, no waters, no drinks for a good 15 minutes. Finally another server brought our drinks over and we asked if she could get our server to come over. We wanted to order our food and get some more chips, waters, etc. She finally came over after I made eye contact with her while she was at one of her other tables. We finally get our order in and are relaxed, when she comes up to us - like when the food should have come out - and said she didn't put or order in the kitchen and also threw away the slip she had written our order on. She's very apologetic, said she wasn't having a great day and offers "anything to make us happy". We are chill people, so we were like, no big deal, we give her our order again, get another round of drinks. So, at this point, we've been here for an hour. No manager comes over to apologize. Long story short, we finally get our food. My friend's rice & beans on the fajitas came out cold, get sent back, she said the rice tasted burnt. Carne Asada meat was good on fajitas, tacos were good. I would have liked if she made sure we wanted flour or corn tortillas. But I guess we were lucky to get any service that day. To top it all off, one member of my party ordered take out to bring home. Manager(?) came out with unboxed food, but we had asked for it to go. Server comes back over like 10minutes later and says our togo food should be coming out soon. We told her about the food that got brought earlier and wasn't that our food? it should only have taken a minute to throw the food in a box. Nope, that wasn't even our food that was brought out originally, because our ticket is just being pulled off the line now. It was just the cherry on the sundae. I don't know if they were understaffed or not trained properly for busy days, I know they are new. But it seemed like our server forgot that she even had our table numerous times. Everyone has bad days, but this review probably could have been much different if she had gotten a manager involved once she realized she forgot the order. Likewise a manager should have had eyes on the situation, i.e. drinks sitting up at the bar forever. Or come back an apologized once she realized the food that got brought out to us wasn't my friend's take out order, and that we would be waiting a few more minutes. Communicate with your guests even when you screw up. Everyone makes mistakes, own up to them, we were fine with the girl telling us she was having a bad day, but she knows things went wrong for the whole visit. Take the initiative to set it right, comp some drinks without having to be asked, send a manager over to smooth things over. Just saying. I'll probably go back because I like their food, it is an interesting twist on Mexican food. Last time I went the Menu Margaritas were good, the 2 for 1 is just house margaritas.

Having eaten here before, I was expecting a decent meal at a decent price after spending time at the mall. When we sat down, our server didn't bother to introduce herself and took our drink order. She eventually got back to bringing our drinks without straws. When we asked for straws she said "they were all out". That threw us, but what was even more shocking was when we looked around the restaurant there was probably 500 straws sitting in containers between the bar and order station, and everyone else's drinks had straws. So we got up to get our own straws. In my opinion, she was lazy and didn't want to walk over to the bar and get straws. The entire meal consisted of us having to ask for every little thing (drink refills, extra napkins, the bill, etc). Food quality was good...but service was seriously lacking.
