Visited at the recommendation of a friend. This is a family type place. Menu is fairly typical. Had shrimp fajitas that tasted very fresh and quite good. Prices lower than two neighboring Mexican restaurants. Friendly staff. A very pleasant overall experience.

We just put down two crave cases....just the few of us. Its always good. The Fire sauce is still the best. The new Diablo sauce isn't that good, but then I guess that is what everyone is saying since I heard they are discontinuing it already.

La Hacienda Dawsonville has a few good things going for it: Deep menu, generous portions, very fresh, well plated food, but don't expect anything truly memorable or sexy from the kitchen & margarita selections & sides like rice & beans, cilantro & Queso are way way over priced. My 20 ounce Margarita on the rocks was one dimensional & was more virgin than adult beverage. I did politely point it out & was rewarded with a tiny extra splash of spirits but then when we got the bill we noticed that they had up-charged us a $buck$ for the gesture of generosity. What the server should have done was disclose, before hand, that the drink's alcohol content improvement was NOT on the house. TACKY. The staff & servers are friendly & the free chips & salsas are good. There best value plates are their daily specials as advertised on the poster plastered to their store front window. We'll be back for those.

We visited El Campesino with friends for a dinner on a busy Friday night. We were seated very quickly and our server was very attentive and fast. We ordered drinks and they were brought out promptly and were correct with what we ordered. They were also very good and as our drinks arrived they brought corn chips and salsa for the table. We ordered an appetizer of Queso and it was very good. We had asked for jalapenos on the side but they were forgotten. When our entrees were brought out to the table (which was super quick and fast) All four of our orders were prepared incorrectly with either incorrect ingredients or missing ingredients. The food we did receive was fresh, served hot and was very good. We actually enjoyed our meals and I would definitely go back with the quality of the food and the cleanliness of the restaurant. If they had not prepared our orders with a 100% error ratio I would have given them FIVE full stars between the service and the taste of the food. But, I would have rather waited five or ten more minutes for our orders to be correct versus fast and wrong.

Senor Fiesta is a combo of Mexican and Tex/Mex. Chips and salsa tasty. All the entrees weâve tried have been very flavorful, however, I took away one star because their sides are bland and leave a little to be desired. That being said, it hasnât stopped us from repeat visits as the meal as a whole is really good. Restaurant is well decorated and has always been clean. It is a bit noisy in main eating area but if you sit in bar area, itâs a little quieter. Staff is friendly and service has typically been good but can be a little slow when theyâre busy. Menu is extensive so be prepared for difficult choices when ordering. Portions are very generous and we almost always take âto-goâ boxes.

Remarkable service that exceeded our expectations! We visited Fajita Grill in Dawsonville on a busy Friday night after being invited to a friends birthday. The restaurant did a great job of accommodating our large group of 22 on a busy Friday night and we were seated outdoors on their patio. I must give accolades to our server, Christian (Chris) who displayed tremendous patience and hospitality to our very diverse and at times demanding group. If there was any one single reason I would return to this establishment it would be for the service we received. Christian knew the menu, had answers for every question and was amazingly attentive. Order accuracy was 100% spot on, our first food order was brought out by a young lady who had no idea what the plate contained and simply shouted "I have a number 3". She stood for a moment as none of us had seen any numerical menu reference and had no idea what a #3 was and she walked back toward the door, plate in hand. As she reached the door Christian was coming out with handfuls more and he brought each order to exactly who ordered including special orders like my wife's who ordered her dairy free. Every order was correct and placed in front of the correct person. My wife enjoyed her Texas Fajita and said it was "ok". I ordered the Chimichanga with Beef and despite the great service, this is where they lost a star. the taste and texture were mediocre at best. I usually will eat the main entree but half-way through I was done with my plate and did not request a take-home box as I knew I would not warm this up at a future time. My rice and refried beans tasted like they were probably served out of a can brought in bulk supply from a food distributor such as Sysco. Overall, I would have rated this 3 stars but the SERVICE mandated I give at least 4 stars in this review.
