This isnât a place to eat an have a meal but more of a place to relax and drink something or have a snack.There are some very good views and have a balcony for tables to see the dock and sea.A very good place to chat and relax but not as much to have a meal.Quite recommendable

The risotto was to die for, we were amazed and very happy. As weâre English we donât know the names of the dishes but we recommend everything we had including a tomato salad, beef and salmon. The restaurant has a wide range of beer and wines, and the staff spoke English best they could in order to help us. Can not recommend enough!

Our 2nd visit in a week. The food is amazing!!!We had the grill on the first visit and the chulleton on the second. The food and staff on each visit was out of this world. Esta muy bien situado en plena marina de VilagarcÃa, aunque bien decorado el sitio es un poco pequeño y es necesario reservar mesa (sobretodo estos meses de verano) para cenar. Tanto en encargado como el resto del personal son muy amables, todo está muy bueno tanto las croquetas como la tortilla de camarón.

This little restaurant caught our eye as we were looking for somewhere for a lunchtime meal. What a great find! We chose from the set price lunch menu and the food was fresh and absolutely delicious and the glass(s) of white wine we had to accompany our meal was chilled to perfection and very enjoyable. The prices were so reasonable we almost felt guilty! The owner was friendly and helpful and spoke excellent English (he is also fluent in several other languages). We would wholeheartedly recommend this restaurant and were only sorry that we didn't have the opportunity to visit it again during our holiday.Dear HughandAnne ,Thank you for finding the time to leave your review. What a location for lunch right on port of Carril with coastal sea views from all angles, no better way to enjoy the degustation menu at O Loxe Mareiro owned by Marcos and Iago of Abastos 2.0 in Santiago. Plácido is the official restaurant of the Hotel Carril, a 4 star modern venue just a few metres off VillagarcÃa beach. A very wide menu is offered to you at more than reasoble prices. Rafa, the maitre, is always aware of all that is going on at the restaurant and ready to change, alter or correct any defficiency you might find......Weekend and special day's menues (Father's or Mother's day, local holidays or season dishes) are really good and and very clerverly priced.I would recommend the octopus (typical galician dish) on potato "foam", and the largely offered choice of hot or cold toasts, tuna fish, different cheese options, anchovies with tomato,...and many more.You can have a more than a decent lunch for 25 euro or less per person, nicely served and with a great view of Arosa Bay. They have a small site with amenities for the kids.
