But you can still use the reserve management. Mudejar Corner Restaurant is ideal for enjoying the best of traditional Spanish cuisine, where quality, value and great service, coupled with the originality of their dishes, will delight the most discerning p
I came to Olmedo with my Spanish wife and father in law following some sight seeing south of Valladolid. We spent some time at the beautiful Romanesque Church of Santa Maria del Castillo before deciding on a bite of lunch. My father in law usually asks the locals for a food recommendation and on this occasion Rincon Mudejar got the nod. It's located just opposite the church and from the outside it doesn't look anything special but don't let that put you off. I've eaten in many fine restaurants in Castile such as this. There is a bar area on entry that serves drinks, tapas and a limited range of food. However there is often a fine looking restaurant space in another room beyond and this proved to be the case.We started with some very good salads and they were far superior than I would have expected. Top notch and would grace any fine restaurant. Our mains consisted of a selection of meat and fish dishes. My wife and father in law went for some of the delicious Castilian lamb and I chose kokotxas de bacalao (the throat meat of salt cod) which I am extremely partial to. The presentation was good and the food delicious. I should add that they have a very good wine list and the service was polite and professional throughout.I've had quite a few restaurant surprises in my travels in Spain with a good proportion of them in Castile. There are a number of hidden gems. Rincon Mudejar was certainly an unexpectedly good one and it was one of the best meals I had on that particular holiday. Highly recommended.

This restaurant is by no means fancy, but the food is great. It is like going to your Spanish grandmothers house. It is family owned and run. The ingredients are locally sourced. For example we had breaded chicken breast for the main course. My wife discussed the great taste with the owners daughter. Her mother the cook, went to the local butcher herself and picked out the cuts and watched the butcher prepare the meat. Everything is Home Cooking in Spanish "Comido Casero"
