The municipality consists of three villages Küssnacht, Immensee, and Merlischachen, the hamlet Haltikon, the industrial area Fänn, and the alp Seeboden. It is situated at the north shore of Lake Lucerne and at the south shore of Lake Zug below mount Rigi (1,797 m (5,896 ft)).

Extraordinarily good food.Other than what is on the chalkboard inside the restaurant, there is no menu or wine list. The four course fixed price menu is what they are serving that day. Our first course was a delectable mixture of seared tuna, zucchini, capers, olives, lettuce, radicchio and who knows what else. The second course was a lemon, burrata ravioli in a butter sauce that was delicate and delicious. Third came a steak and potatoes with small pieces of rosemary, chives, eggplant, roasted peppers, kohlrabi and more. The dish was outstanding. For dessert we were served a delightful passion fruit mousse accompanied by passion fruit. By in large, the offered wines were Italian and reasonably priced. The four course menu was CHF 75 per person. We sat outdoors on the patio, but there is indoor seating as well. Service was very good.

Located in the Cascada Hotel where we were staying, so hotel took care of making the reservation for us (and staying in the hotel gave us a discount). Restaurant is Spanish, with emphasis on tapas and paella. We each chose the 3 course tapas menu, which consisted of unlimited tapas bar, seafood course and dessert course. A meat course is also offered so we could have done one each (or each had both!) Most items from the tapas bar were toasts with something on top, but also included great empanada and some skewers of meat and chicken. We had a huge bowl of fantastic mussels with the seafood course, along with shrimp, sea bass, calamari, and cod croquette. And 4 desserts each! We enjoyed everything. There is also paella - you pick the ingredients (40 minutes prep time). Also a la carte menu with Spanish dishes. Restaurant was very crowded and busy, but the service was surprisingly good. Okay, we were tired, exhausted and just wanted a light easy meal. Very hard to find in Lucerne. We headed out toward Meggan and there was very little. We headed back toward our hotel and found this little gem. From the second we walked in they couldn't be more helpful, apologizing for their poor English (it was quite good in fact) and we orderd lasagne and a tagliatelle al fungi porcini and we were both in heaven. Seriously good food with great service. If this wasn't the best pasta I've ver had it must have been very close. No, it was the best pasta I've ever had, period. Nothing flash to look at but inside they wrap their arms around you and treat you like family. Once our waiter discovered we were Australian, he couldn't be nicer. Not sure on he could have improved from his already excellent and helpful service. Just wonderful and very reasonably priced.

The restaurant is located above the casino and it is decorated with classic grandeur with high ceilings and chandeliers. We went without reservations and were the first guests for dinner. We were later told by the staff there that the building used to be a library. The menu was very interesting and the wines had good choices. We ordered 2 appetizers and 2 mains and a bottle of French wine. The food is well plated and taste really fresh, delicious and definitely memorable (see the pictures). You have the feel that the chef takes pride in his creations. On a hot summer evening on the terrace or inside in a cosy atmosphere, Da Nino offers a simple but nice surrounding for all weathers. The servive is very Italian and charming. The wine selection appealing and reasonably priced. The food great, fish, seafood or meat are great, the pasta dishes very good and the prices very reasonable. My visit at La Cantinetta was an excellent experience. First of I'd like to mention the very kind welcome, the great service, the flexibility of the cuisine for special wishes, such as gluten-free meals and finally the excellent wine list. This restaurant is an excellent experience for couples, lovers who look for a nice "ambiente" and even for groups. Please enjoy!
