We had an excellent meal here with high quality food typical of the region. Wines served with the meal were enjoyable and also from the region. Service was friendly and helpful.

Went with Trip Advispr recommendations. Hamburgers and modern local fusion dishes. They opened the upstairs restaurant for the crazy English couple that wanted to eat before 21.30! Great food and main dishes can be ordered as tapas to share. Four was more than enough, washed down with a chilled local red. Diana our waitress didn't speak English, but didn't matter - great, friendly, fun service. Well worth the visit.

Wir hatten in der Nähe übernachtet und aufgrund der hiesigen Bewertung uns auf einen schönen Kaffee mit Gebäck zum Frühstück gefreut. Die BegrüÃung war kühl, wenn gleich auch nicht unfreundlich. Der Cappuccino schmeckte säuerlich, was wohl am Kaffee lag. Das Gepäck war o. k. Für einen notgedrungen Zwischenhalt o. k., jedoch nicht unbedingt als Ziel für den Besuch hinsichtlich hiesiger 5-Punkte-Bewertung.Ansonsten ist das Lokal recht modern eingerichtet, leicht kühl, sauber und scheint eine breite Auswahl an Getränken, insbesondere alkoholischen, und Speisen anzubieten.

The bar-restaurant is located in a quaint corner of Villafranca del Bierzo, lovely by all means. The burgers were excellent: great meat perfectly cooked, great taste, no suspicious flavors/aditives. The owners are very nice people, it is encouraging to see entrepreneurs at work. I love this place, and will be back to taste their famous lasagna.

Very friendly restaurant, I had salmon which wasn't great - I think a poor choice for this part of Spain maybe. My friends enjoyed their meal which was reasonably priced and included wine. A nice cup of coffee was provided at no extra charge and it was overall a good experience.

Situé sur une petite place face à une chapelle le Saint James est d abord un Hostal pour les pèlerins. Il est toutefois possible d y manger pour un prix très économique : soit la traditionnelle formule menu avec un choix parmi 4/5 options ou une carte de pizzas plutôt fournie. Pour ma part pas déçu par La Hawaïenne avec une pâte plutôt épaisse et bien levée ( pas une pâte fine). Le bar offre des options multiples de goûter au verre les vins locaux en rouge ou en blanc .

La Taberna es un sitio en el que se come muy bien , calidad precio de 10.Normalmente está lleno de gente y siempre hacen el esfuerzo de hacer un hueco. La comida está muy rica y son muy rápidos. Yo voy muy a menudo y lo recomiendo 100%.

Such a nice change from the standard pilgrim's fare. Small (only 7 tables) and slightly hidden around the corner from the Santiago church and opposite the castle. Have full menu as well as daily specials. Very, tasty and use of lots of fresh local ingredients.

Nice restaurant with a wide and selected menu. Appetizers, salads to begin with. The a multiple selection of meat to choose for. Or instead fish, preferibly cod. Anyway in the area better to try meat dishes. Desserts also remarkable. Also good offer of wines from the reagion: the typical Mencia varieties.
