This will especially please those who like something 'alternative': relaxed atmosphere with a beautiful garden setting, very friendly service, and very well presented and prepared meals - not a huge choice on the hot meals menu but their tapas, antres, huge cold salads and a few warm meals were every one we tried really excellent. For instance last year I had a beautiful cold seafood salad, this year seafood tapas for 4 (picture) and roast lamb, all 4.5 out of 5! :-)

Le Saffran is a delightful restaurant in the small village of Trets. Over the course of a week we actually ate here twice and both times were treated to well prepared and presented dishes. Our first visit was late on the night of the day we arrived from the U.S. and wanted something light and the menu had salads which fit the bill. We returned a few nights later and were once again treated to an excellent meal. The menu has a sufficient variety of entrees and the portions are generous. The waitresses are hardworking and helpful and dining outside was a treat. We highly recommend Le Safran if you in the area.

The restaurant was good in terms of food list. It was crowded as it was a weekday and lunchtime. However, overall environment was good, staffs were friendly. Good location.We are very peased you enjoy our place.It's really a pleasure to receive foreign tourist.I hope you will come back soon.

This little tuck away restaurant in Avignon is delightful, it still has the cosy atmosphere as well as being relaxing. Beautiful food with bags and bags of flavour. We ordered three dishes between two of us, just lovely and most enjoyable. Wonderful services and pastis + rose wine. Will certain revisit.

J'avais vu très peu de critiques de cet établissement sur TripAdvisor, mais l'endroit me paraissait avenant et j'ai donc testé la cuisine : le repas était délicieux : Filet Mignon à la sauce moutarde à l'ancienne et gratin de Courgettes + 1/4 de pichet de vin par personne + dessert + café pour 15,00 ⬠à consommer uniquement le midi.

We only had one dinner here - one pizza and a pasta dish - and really wanted to come back again. The second time, we did not have reservations, and all the tables were booked for the night. Hours are for dinner, from 7:30. A small place, with friendly service and very good food, located right in the center of the village. Try to plan ahead, and to reserve if possible.

Pour nous un sans faute pour la cuisine. Le repas était parfait, bien présenté, bien assaisonné. Les boissons et le vin rosé par contre n était pas assez frais mais la demande de glaçon a palier ce problème. Quant au service, s était un peu lent mais toujours avec le sourire alors nous y retournerons sans hésité

It didn't look anything "special" from outside and we had a lovely surprise with the italian food available from this little restaurantThe quality of ingredients and the care which went into the preparation of Gnocci + Pesto and Spaghetti Arabiata made both meals a real delight. This restaurant is near the only covered carpark we could find, a useful "plus" on sunny days. The town has a large market plus a separate area where "Santons" (the statuettes) are sold.
