Went here at the recommendation of a friend and was it delicious. We ordered a large plate of sashimi and a large boat of Sushi. The sashimi was absolutely the freshest and tastiest I have had in a long time. The tuna, yellowtail, and salmon are my favorite. They were as fresh as could be, no fishy smell or taste. The texture was perfect. Plenty of wassabi and pickled ginger too. The boat of Sushi had many different nigiri and rolls. The presentation was beautiful and the taste did not disappoint. Everything on the boat was delicious. There were at least four different rolls and many nigiri with raw fish. I'm usually not a big fan of fancy rolls, but these we all beautiful and the taste combinations were perfect and well balanced. To finish the meal off we each shared a tradition Japanese combination plate. I shared the mixed Tempura and beef teriyaki steak. I was pleasantly surprised at the quality of these dishes too. The teriyaki steak was grilled to perfection (medium rare) and covered with a teriyaki sauce that allowed the steak taste to come through. The tempura was perfectly battered and fried to perfection. The oil the tempura was cooked in was very clean as there were no unexpected taste or smell. It was perfect. Everyone else in our group was equally satisfied with their meal. This was my first visit to this restaurant, it is quite large and was able to accommodate our large group. This is not a quiet intimate restaurant. There are two TV monitors on the wall. The menu is quite large and seemed overly complex and overwhelming. The price is typical or slightly better than expected for a Japanese restaurant with food of this quality. It is the quality of the food that is hard to beat and exceeded my expectations. I would definitely like to visit here again.

Good ramen place. Get to choose different noodles and broth. Serving is very generous especially for the large bowl. Okinawa chasu is tasty, a must try! Friendly staff and fast service. Won't mind coming back for more!

Tried a new Japanese restaurant on Thursday with my mom in Temple City, Ajisen Ramen. I love ramen noodles and my mom loves udon, they didn't have udon, but it was cold and she wanted some soup, this was a great compromise and I'd been wanting to try this place. We were greeted quickly and seated just as quick. We sat in a small section of the restuarant next to a wall with a call for service button. Didn't need it, our waiter never really seemed to leave the area, but, had quite a few patrons in his section. I noticed most the patrons were young and our waiter was slow in servicing us, but, when he did, he was very attentive and always had a smile, which was great, he appeared to enjoy his job. The food came quickly once we ordered, and it was hot. My mom ordered the bbq ramen, the only complaint she had was that the broth was too fatty, but, it was good. I ordered the curry rice with pork katsu, I'm a lover of katsu. It also came with a cabbage type slaw or salad, really enjoyed it, but there was a huge onion flavor that left with heart burn. The menu is pretty diverse, but, I would have liked a simple ramen, and these appeared to have a lot of broth and lots of stuff in them, but, I suppose that's a good thing. I will return and maybe try some ramen. By the way, on our way out, I did notice that the restaurant filled up pretty fast. So, it a busy little place and seems to be pretty popular.
