If you are looking for a fantastic fine dining experience in Zermatt, this is the place. Except for one very small complaint below, we were so impressed with everything. Everyone who works here is so attentive to detail. The menu is excellent, easy to combine and all of the dishes our group of five tried were so well presented and tasty. They also cater to special dietary needs on request. We were in foodie heaven! Some of us at the table decided to order an additional main course. This normally creates a problem for the kitchen to time the arrival of our desserts, and anyone who has done this before knows that if the added order it takes too long, the point of ordering a second dish is lost. But the waitress knew all about this and they rush ordered our extra dishes. They have an excellent selection of wines to match everything provided they don't give you the wrong wine menu. That was our only complaint. We come here every time we visit Zermatt. Nicola, the master, makes every stop s pleasure to enjoy. Pizza, pasta all superb notwithstanding the altitude, a marvel. Came every time and will find again. Book to get the window side tables with breathtaking view of the surrounding mountains. Well done Nicola!

For a casual meal, you can't beat Gusto Matto. We had no reservation but were happily shown to a table by the staff. Pizza and glass of wine around 30 CHF per person (not bad for Zermatt). Pizza was really delicious and the chilli oil is fabulous!

We never miss having a few meals at Grampi's when we stay in Zermatt. We ordered to go and also ate at the restaurant twice. Everyone working in this restaurant is from Italy and speak English and Italian perfectly. Even though it is generally busy, you never feel rushed and they are always glad to see you. the pizza, pasta, and salads are among our favorite in Switzerland. The pizza may be the best in Zermatt! We love talking to the cooks also! Open late so you can enjoy a full day hiking and still get some great Italian food late at night.Thank you so much for visiting us at Grampi's Restaurant in Zermatt

Came here for dinner, and we were so impressed by the service that we came back again! The girls who run the place were so kind and caring, and provided us with fantastic service - although it took a little long during busier times, we were happy to wait. Even when we had to push back a reservation because of sports fixtures, they were happy to accommodate, which shows that they really go above and beyond to provide a great service! The garlic bread and dough balls were great and the pizza was delicious! Would definitely recommend coming here for a guaranteed great dinner!Thanks for your kind review! The first night you guys were here we got slammed, everyone came in at the same time after all the sports. The meal we had here was good Italian/European food, as it was off season, the restaurant was almost empty. Service was great, the front of house went over everything with us, and talked to us about wine from the area. Overall a nice meal.

We were skiing on the mountain and came here to get out of the winds. What a fantastic choice! Wine and staff were amazing. Pizza delicious and made perfectly. Lasagna was delicious. Staff was so friendly and patient with smiles all around. Not that I want it to get any busier! But we are coming back up with out skis just to eat!!!

The food here was quite good but it felt much more commercial than many of the other restaurants we ate at. Location is central and staff were pretty good but it was a bit loud and just seemed quite hectic overall. May be best for larger groups but as I said, the food was really good. We did not eat pizza although it appears they are known for that.

The service is extremely friendly and enthusiastic. Diners are greeted with flutes of Prosecco, a generous gesture and a festive way to start a meal. Thereâs also bruschetta topped with good tomatoes and olive oil. We shared a very good mushroom salad to start. My main course was tagliarini with black truffles. It was so good that when all the pasta was gone, I mopped up the rest of the sauce with bread. The check was delivered to us in the cutest way, so I had to take a photo of it.
