Marcello's never ever disappoints. Fresh Mediterranean Italian food made from scratch by the chef/owner Marcello. The menu is on a chalk board and the fresh fish arrives daily from the fish market across the street. Marcello's is'hidden' in a strip center off 41 (Tamiami Trail South of Trader Joes) next to a mattress store and is easily missed if you are not looking. Make sure you have reservations! Generous portions, priced right, with complete wine list. You must have the bread and homemade garlic butter and the 7 layer dark chocolate cake!! All of the seafood and pasta made from scratch is mouthwatering succulent Make reservations and enjoy!

We had wonderful pizza. We ate it at Sal's. It was so fun to talk to the guys while they were making pizzas. It was some of the best pizza we have ever had. The crust was especially good. If you love good pizza this is the place for you!

Friends had highly recommended Sardinia and we were not disappointed. Though located in a nondescript strip mall it is quite elegant inside. The service is exceptional, and our waiter who was from Sardinia was very knowledgeable about the extensive wine list. We started with the octopus carpaccio, then house salads, both very flavorful and fresh. I then had the veal ravioli and my wife had a fish and pasta special, both excellent. Great food, service and reasonably prices, we will be back.

This intimate Italian restaurant is a must see in Sarasota. A reservation is recommended as it is a charming little place with the true feeling of a small rustic Italian Inn. The waiter was great and provided perfect suggestions at our request. Each meal was exceptional and our guests were very pleased we shared this gem with them. They were surprised at its location in a small strip mall type of setting but once inside, the restaurant is charming and the food delicious.

We set off on a very rainy evening to go to Walt's Fish Restaurant but when we got there we found it packed with a long wait for a table so we decided to try this Italian restaurant across the road - an excellent decision. How good does a pizza taste after a night of pub crawling? You have no idea until you stop here before heading home! one of the best pizza's in town but certainly not the cheapest. But in a land where a decent pizza is still a better-kept secret than Coke's recipe, you get what you pay for.

Nice little hole in wall fun location. Not a huge selection of beers but adequate and the bartender very beer knowledgeable. My third visit and another great dinner! Outside of my ten trips to Italy...Best Italian food I've ever had. Other couple with us were equally impressed.Don't think twice...Open Thursday Friday and Saturday.Thank You for your continuous support and for the nice review!!!For the people who planning on visiting us in the future I like mention here that weâre now (October) open Tuesday through Saturday and starting at the begging of November gonna be back to the Monday through Saturday schedule.

As we spend more time exploring the off the beaten track we find great surprises. Try the calamari or the stuffed ravioli. She had the lobster stuffed ravioli; I was jealous. But I did share my calamari. The brick oven is something quite special.

I went with four of my siblings on the first night of a sibling reunion weekend. Everything was at least very good, and the veal dishes (Veal Parmesan, Saltimbocca, and the nightly veal special with truffles) were excellent. The veal parmesan (a very large bone-in chop) was the best I have ever had. Anywhere. Prices were reasonable, service was excellent, food was authentic and unpretentious. I would return here without hesitation.
