Linville is a community centered just south of the US 221 and NC 105 intersection in Avery County, North Carolina. The community—at times known as Clay or Porcelain—was founded in 1883 and designed by Samuel T. Kelsey of Kansas, and named for William and John Linville, who were killed by Cherokees in 1766. The East Tennessee and Western North Carolina Railroad ("Tweetsie") passed through the community from 1916 until 1940, when a major flood washed away the tracks. The old rail route later became NC 105 in 1956.

On a Tuesday night (leaf looking season), there was a 25 minute wait, so we opted to sit at the bar...Good Move, Christine, the Bartender, took excellent care of us from start to finish. Great local dark draft beer !!! Due to the size of the oven, there was a 45 minute delivery on pizzas & calzones. Not a problem, we enjoyed our beverages and the food came out sooner than predicted. And wow, were they both delicious !!!! You owe it to yourself to give this place a try. The side Ceasar Salad was also mighty good. We took home the leftovers for more gratification !!We hope you like it as much as we did !!! Be sure to say Hi to Christine !

We took friends to Fabioâs last evening for his regular Saturday evening 6 course dinner. Reservations are a must. Every table was full. Last nightâs meal started with baked tomato stuffed with rice, covered with cheese and tomato sauce; then Caesar salad; rigatoni pasta dish; then chicken with mushrooms; delicious grouper followed by tiramisu. Each course had its own wine pairing The atmosphere is inviting and Fabioâs staff amazing Fabio is an amazing chef and a consummate host. What is truly unbelievable is that the price is only $28.99

Good food at a good price. Our friends had the lobster ravioli and liked it. I had the meat calzone and split it with my wife. Very big, and enough for us both. She had a very nice looking salad, fresh lots of "stuff". Service was attentive and cheerful, The room is just like the picture. The bill proved this is a great value so it was a successful and flavorful evening.

This is an upscale bistro with a strong accent for Italian. This family business involves 3 generation of family owned and operated, with the 30 year anniversary approaching. We thank all of our local customers, and look forward to the new ones.
Went on a Sunday night. Ordered eggplant rollatini. It came with pasta and a tomato sauce that was totally tasteless. Tne rollatini was just ok. It was lacking in flavor, also. Tne crab cake appetizer tasted better, but on tne pricey side- $16! Ceasar salad just ok, too. Would not go back, except to maybe have a drink at the bar.
