Had the lunch special. A drink three pasta items and all the breadsticks I could eat. The breadsticks were always fresh. The pasta items were warm and could have been a little hotter. The food was tasty. The restaurant needed to be a little cleaner. The staff was good and responsive. A great change from a burger and fries and at the same price or less.

I begin this review with a positive: normally, in my frequent visits, I have great experiences at Taverna. Today, such was not the case.The location, ambience and overall venue are quire pleasant. This does not change. What DID change today was in service. 1) the server did not provide accurate information re: sides accompanying an entrée. I was up-charged for a side salad which was not included in the verbal list of sides that added cost to the meal; 2) in ordering the meal, with side salad, I explicitly asked for the salad to be serviced prior to the entrée. The salad came, and ~2-3 minutes later the entrée was served. As such, I had 2 choices: skip the salad to enjoy a hot entrée, or eat the salad, and eat a cold entrée. Simply, I was up-charged for a salad I did not eat - because coordination between server and kitchen was poor.I have provided to the GM countless praises for the experiences I have at her venue. Sadly, today, there was a bartender/server and a server. Between the 2, their ages added - perhaps - to less that some of the shoes I own.Most disappointing to me - a resident of Eau Claire, a frequent diner, and road warrior.

We were here to celebrate our daughter's graduation from UW-Eau Claire with several of her friends. With eight people in our party we decided on appetizers and pizza. We ordered three large pizzas, each with a different topping, We enjoyed them very much. The thin crust was different than our usual pizza, but we all really liked it. I would go there again for pizza but would also enjoy trying a variety of items from the menu. The service was excellent!

We randomly stopped by for lunch when we spotted it behind Burger King. It was empty but we really didn't want fast food. They had their own unique local flavor like local establishments should have - and what we were looking for. Their pizzas were thin crust, New York style and he had a few 'by the slice' ready for sale. Another reviewer expressed disappointment for now having a fresh pie but I can't fault them for having something ready to serve instead of waiting. And they did offer fresh pies at decent prices if you want to buy one complete pizza and were willing to wait. Thank you for your visit!

Sammyâs has always been a favorite of our familyâs since long before I was born, and my parents were dating! We held my motherâs 87th birthday party here in the back room. We ordered 9 pizzas as we had a lot of family gathered together. It was good as usual, and wonderful to eat a long time family favorite. The crust is really thin, and our two favorites are beef with onions and green peppers, and pepperoni. If you havenât tried it I recommend you do!

I havenât been here in a long time. We were greeted right away and seated. Our waitress was friendly and helpful. We did the Buy one take one home deal and it was a very good deal and tasty too! The atmosphere was nice, not too loud, nice music playing in the background. Nice selection of food and drink. The desserts looked wonderful, but didnât have room. Next time Iâll go for dessert only! The soup and salad with bread sticks are awesome too!

Stopped in Eau Claire overnight and ate dinner at Mona Lisaâs Restaurant. There were three of us and each of us enjoyed our meal-homemade pasta and interesting combinations. Our server was also excellent. We would definitely eat here again.This is wonderful!!! We make all of our pasta in-house and are happy you enjoyed your meal! Do you recall your server's name? All of our servers do their best to provide excellent service to each and every table they assist.Please join us all summer long for our Tuesday Wine Tastings from 6 pm- 8 pm
