We ordered the pizza online. They had an outdoor window for to-go/pick-up orders. The pizza had the nice, light brick oven char on the bottom, fresh ingredients and the cheeses were amazing. The calzone was perfectly cooked and you could tell that they used fresh ingredients and cheeses. We will definitely add this to our list of favs at the beach.

The wife and I stopped, in for a bite. We have in the past eaten at brick oven pizza places before, and we were always disappointed. But not this time. Finally a brick oven pizza place that lives up to the name. The crust was cooked thru, not soggy, like the others we tried in the past. If you are a brick oven pizza lover? You have to try this place.

We made a reservation but were in the area at an earlier time. We were able to be seated and served early. Definitely a plus with kids. The mango tango shrimp appetizer had just a hint of spice. Delicious! The breadsticks were also delicious. The herbed olive oil dip was great. The she crab soup is the best weâve ever had. We would come back to the restaurant strictly for that soup. My 9 year old ordered the blackened mahi mahi and LOVED it. Our 12 year old kept stealing bites because it was so good. Our 12 year old ordered the grouper entree. It was bland and we would not order that again. The entire table will probably order soup and the mahi entree next time. There will definitely be a next time. Thanks for bringing your family into see us! Sounds like you had a good meal, I hope we see you again in the near future!

Stopped in here after getting a reservation at a nearby wine bar/restaurant and having terrible service and walking out. It was lovely and quiet and we were seated immediately even though it was a holiday week. Service and food were all excellent. Highly recommend.

A small quaint restaurant well deserving of the reviews. Food and service was great. Actually, the food was exceptional. We arrived shortly after they opened and were fortunate to be seated without a reservation. We ate out every night at all the great restaurants and this was our favorite. You will not be disappointed.

We called in for delivery on our last night in Destin and Merlinâs did not disappoint. We also had the wings that were really, really good. Order was correct (which is always a bonus because you know how that goes), delivered timely and was still hot. For us it was a âï¸âï¸âï¸âï¸âï¸ experience!

We live in Nashville area and have been living in the south for about 9 years. It is nearly impossible to get real Italian food here. The menu can cater to tourist because that is what they demand but the food they make is excellent. What I love you can ask Alfonso and his chef to make REAL Italy food (Carbonara as in Rome or Cacio e Pepe) and they will make if for you with a big smile. We ordered off the menu and LOVED our dishes. We asked for Calamari Calabrese style and it was eccellente!! I strongly recommend eating here and we will be back to try the pizza. You build your own pizza. First 3 toppings included in the price. You choose sauce type, cheese type, and toppings. I decided to try something different. I chose white alfredo sauce, artichokes, smoked chicken, mushrooms, and mozzarella. It was the best pizza I have ever had.

Revisited this restaurant that is deemed superior by locals based on the crowd inside and the folks waiting to be seated. We tried the two featured meals (Gnocchi and Grouper dishes) paired with an artichoke-parmesan soup. The flavors were amazing at several levels.Could not eat a dessert that we anticipated after filling ourselves on the entrees. Would I recommend this restaurant... Yes. Would I return... I did!
