Olive Garden

I generally don't give any establishment more than two screw ups. Well this Olive Garden (most are very good for chain restaurants) is pitiful, but after four consecutive bad visits no more. They can not get an order correct nor can they provide a hot meal with any consistency. And, most servers and those that prepare the meals have no idea of the meaning of "gluten free".

Stopped in for lunch. Was not sure from the outside but I am always up for a non chain restaurant when on the road. This place does not disappoint. Service was fantastic. My waitress covered the whole restaurant and was amazing! I had the meatball Po Boy. Bread was incredible, really what makes or breaks a good Po Boy in my opinion. Would come back in a heartbeat.

Freshest restaurant on the Northshore. The Boston salad is so fresh and tender! Other than from my grandma’s garden, I’ve not had a salad this fresh. We also tried a couple of the pizzas and they were exceptional. The baked Brussels are also so good! The atmosphere here is nice and relaxing- clean and modern yet warm and comfortable.

DiCristina's Italian and Seafood Restaurant

We stopped here on recommendations of friends. It was a Saturday around 1:30 so wasn’t that crowded but we stood almost 10 minutes before being told we could just sit anywhere. The staff was very friendly but seemed frazzled. I ordered the Crab Cakes with the Crawfish sauce & pasta. The crab cakes were very good but the pasta was swimming in sauce. I realize that other people may like a small portion of pasta with twice as much sauce but I think it was way too much. My friend got the veal and she said the same thing, way too much sauce. The other comment I have is for almost $20, the entree should come with a side salad, it seems ridiculous that you need to pay almost $5 to add a salad to your meal. We both left half of our food uneaten because of the sauce. If we decide to go back, we will definitely ask for half the sauce or order something that doesn’t come with sauce.

Stopped here with a large group for lunch. There is ample parking. Went in was greeted at door and escorted to our table. Drink orders were taken and menus handed out. We sample 4 different appetizers- crab cakes, mozzarela sticks, marinated crab claws, and onion rings. I loved the crab cakes the best. Waitress said the soft shell crabs were running large. I ordered and savored a delicious soft shell crab po boy. Staff was very attentive.

Had the arugula salad with pecorino cheese (average) and the veal osso buco which was above average with beautifully prepared meat, a delicious rich sauce with peas. A spoon was placed in the marrow for even greater richness. Friendly service completed the experience. This is a popular place and was virtually full at only 5:30 pm. Worth a visit.
