Over the years I have fined in this restaurant many times. Usually the food has been delicious and the service good to excellent. It has been several months since I was last here because on my past visit months ago I was dissatisfied with my pizza. Well, the quality issue seems to have been resolved and the pizza I had there last night was excellent. I can also say the same for the chopped salad. Our server Amy was attentive and friendly also, so I can once again recommend this restaurant for a pizza if you are downtown and can find parking which has increasingly become an issue in Charleston.

Our first time in Charleston, but weâve been to many Mellow Mushrooms along the east coast. We had a ten minute wait to get seated during the busy lunch rush. We got seated, hot drinks and ordered eventually. Our waitress apologized for the wait. No problem. Our food took about 35 minutes. Again not an issue. The manager, Jimmy, brought our food out and apologized for the wait and said our meal was on the house! Wow! That was super nice, but unnecessary. What awesome customer service! And this is why we love and continue to support Mellow Mushroom - great food and great people. Thanks Jimmy!!

We visited Le Farfalle for an anniversary dinner. The good things--adequate parking options (including a very small lot behind the restaurant as well as a nearby parking garage), very nice server, appealing decor. However,we felt rushed from the minute we arrived. We ordered cocktails and an appetizer (Great foccacia bread) as well as a bottle of wine to be served with dinner. We told the server we needed some time to look over the menu and decide on entrees and she returned 3 times in the space of 5 minutes to ask us if we were ready to order. We hadn't even finished our drinks when the server started pouring our wine (and not because she wanted to give it a opportunity to breathe a little) and before we knew it our entrees were delivered--so there we were, with drinks, wine, appetizer, entrees. We had not even finished our entrees when we were asked if we wanted dessert. Oh--did we need a box for the unfinished entrees? We ordered a dessert to share and it was whisked away before we had even finished it. We weren't asked if we were finished and there was still food on the plate!! There was no inquiry as to whether we wanted a cup of coffee or perhaps an after dinner drink. This experience was extremely disappointing and certainly was one of the worst anniversary dinners we had ever had. The food was merely average. Although the restaurant touts itself as Tuscan, I have been to Tuscany and eaten in a variety of restaurants there; the food at La Farfalle certainly could not compare. There are many fine restaurants in Charleston to choose from and I would not recommend this one. The number one priority of Le Farfalle seems to be turning over tables and not providing a relaxed enjoyable experience for their guests.This is a tough recounting to read, and I am very sorry that we let you down, on your special occasion. We pride ourselves on providing our guests an experience centered in hospitality, and your description of the evening clearly shows that we've missed that mark. We have addressed our service staff and management so that we may all learn from this unfortunate experience. This choice was made from a hotel employee and we were glad we took her advice. The place is charming and staff was very friendly. Food was delicious and presentation was great. We all ordered something different and all enjoyed. The 'special' seemed very pricey ; mixing your selection in the wheel of cheese and we opted not to try it. Very nice ambiance.

Having read the reviews, I tried really hard to love this place...but, there are so many great restaurants in Charleston that I would not be motivated to return. It wasn't terrible, by any means, it just was...ok (for a foodie paradise). Maybe it was where we were seated (on the covered patio), the seats were really uncomfortable and there was absolutely zero atmosphere. Inside seemed to have a better vibe, and I might be encouraged to request a table inside if I were to visit gain. the problem was, for the price, I don't think it would be worth it. Sorry.

This was our second time at T L. Food and service are generous. While I whole-heartedly recommend the restaurant, I was a bit disappointed in the vegetable aspect/choices, especially given the amazing produce available at the Charleston farmers markets the last week of May. We did have a fantastic burrata dish. One of our guests is not a cheese or fish lover, and I have to say it was tricky to feed her as beautifully as the rest of the table. Service is lovely thereâdefinition of hospitality. They only serve wine...get your martini down the street before you arrive and then tuck into some great Italian choices over dinner.
