The menu is nearly impossible to decipher. When we asked questions, the staff treated us like we were mentally disabled and STILL did not explain it thoroughly.There are virtually NO descriptions of the items on the menu, regardless of the language. I ate a piece of squid that I thought was a piece of mozzarella and ended up having a horrible allergic reaction that night.The service was slow and begrudging, and most of what we ate was so-so. We would not ever go back.

Use this restaurant a few times per year- usually the self-service part for nice German sausages. This time we had more time and decided to eat in the back area where weâd be served a more substantial meal. Had delicious pork and sauerkraut. Waiter seemed nice and was going to leave him a cash tip as it said âtip not includedâ on the menu. However, he decided to put a â¬4.00 tip on my credit card WITHOUT asking my permission. He only issued me the house receipt and retained my copy of the visa receipt. This was sneaky no matter what the restaurant replies to try and say as the waiter told me that the visa machine adds the tip automatically I donât believe that. If it does- then the restaurant is guilty of theft. But, I believe it was the waiter. This angered me to extent I called the police and and posted onFB and then the reply on FB was more or less to ridicule the fact that I had a problem leaving a tip. Now, the fact is everywhere else asks me- would you like to include a tip. If I say yes Iâm then handed the machine so I can input whatever sum I see fit regarding the tip. I believe this waiter was not acting âsoloâ as people at two tables close by told me they had same thing and I saw one of them was served by a different server. I had no problem tipping but to me- that waiter was helping himself to an unauthorized and arbitrary sum specified (and rounded up from usual 10%) by himself. Bad form VERY bad form! Thank you again. As you know, Police and airport officials see no reason to investigate further in this matter...especially because you entered your pin in the credit card terminal, making the payment. We are sure that the communication between you and the waiter failed to work. Either way - as i told you on various websites - we are working hard to find out if this could be more than "just" a mistake made... especially because the waiter did not hand out the visa slip with the bill. We will let you know if there are any "news" on this.

I had dinner there with my friend and the food was quite good. But what really made our experience was the two waiters: Florian and David. They were so welcoming and accommodating, and had us laughing all along the way. For Germany, this is really rare. Bravo FACES !

We are staying two nights in an airport hotel, and decided to explore the eateries by the train station. First we went to Paulaner across the hall, but after one beer, the service was so unfriendly and nobody bothered to take our food order, that we moved to Alex. Alex has a very chic and cheerful atmosphere, and a waiter greeted us immediately. There are tables, booths and couches. A very friendly lady took our drink order, but upon realizing that we don't speak German, she quickly went to get a menu in English. We ordered a Pimento Burger, the Grilled Prawns, and grilled Pimientos. The food was a little bit slow to come out, but everything looked great when it came to the table, so we didn't mind. There is free Wi-Fi offered by Telekom. It's also nice to find WC's in the restaurant, and they are clean, and liked not having to use the Station's WC's. Overall we were pleased with the portions and the food quality. Hi Reginafug,thank you so much!!We really appreciate it! The food was good, but service was terrible. It took absolutely forever. Sat down at 7:15 and didn't get out until 9:30. We were starving after driving all day. Ordered an appetizer. It actually came out AFTER our food. Which was roughly after an hour of waiting. The schnitzel was really good though and the apple tart.

We had dinner here while on a layover at Frankfurt airport. The service was good. You seat yourself so we sat out on thee mall section. We both had a salad, and I had calamari while the bride had a pizza. We shared a half liter of wine. Bill was $42 Euro. Food was hot and tasty.

For me, itâs very hard to find a great tasting steak in Germany that is perfectly seasoned, not bland. Flavors was a welcomed surprise on such a busy day of travel. Great wine list and friendly service. I appreciate the opportunity to select your own cut of meat. We look forward to returning on our next business trip soon!
