Came here last night with my fiancé for dinner. Tried to make a reservation a couple of weeks ago but got no response. Turned up anyway and the waiter managed to find us a table, the restaurant was very busy! We waited 30 minutes for our drinks, the waiters were very busy, working very hard but clearly understaffed. The food we had was great (muscles, bruschetta and paella) just a shame about the service (not the waiters fault.)

Very nice restuarant - quirky menu. Starter of goats cheese parcels amazing! Beef carpaccio good. Presentation of both excellent. Two pork main courses. One was pork cheek on celeriac mash - delicious but portion size could have been halved as sauce was very rich. Other pork dish was served in exactly the same manner with what tasted like parsnip mash though the menu said it would be served with wrinkly potatoes.Vegatables or a side salad would have balanced the dishes. Waiters attentive. Atmosphere poor as restaurant almost empty. Very good female singer on terrace. Cocktails half price from 6pm to 10pm. Nice margaritas!. Wine good if a little pricey by local standards. Atmosphere let this place down. Why is it so empty? Thank you. We congratulate your comment and we will transmit it to the team. A pleasure

We have been regular visitors to Costa Adeje for a number of years and our recent visit to was our first time, it certainly will not be our last. The restaurant is on the main road into La Caleta, the booking was made by my daughter and her boyfriend, the latter head of food and beverage in the Old Course Hotel St Andrews, Scotland Scotland. Suffice to say after our visit he was praising the service, food and value for money which he thought was among the best he had seen in a restaurant.We had booked a table in advance which is probably a good idea as it was very busy. An added bonus for booking on line was a free cocktail each which were fantastic. We shared a couple of starters , steak Tartare and creamy prawn croquets both were plenty for 2 people and delicious. Our group went principally for steaks my daughter and partner sharing a Chateaubriand which at 54 Euro was great value. I opted for a fillet steak at 25 Euro both of which would put fine dinning restaurants to shame, and cooked over an open charcoal grill. We were happy to let Shadi our waitress suggest a local wine and at 21 Euro a bargain at that price. Special mention goes to all the staff front of house were very friendly and hospitable providing excellent service. Similarly the chefs areas are open and you can see the high standard of service they are providing. Cannot praise this establishment highly enough, as the title of this review states, outstanding!Thank you for your kindly feedback ! We hope to see you very soon again in lagarto , and make your staying as special as the last one .

Read the reviews and thought we would find the âhidden gemâWe were not disappointed. Warm welcome, beautiful tapas. Wine was good. Food was so tasty especially the Canarian rock fish. We had 4 tapas selection. Pear filled pasta was delicious as were the others dishes, but this was particularly special. Worth seeking out, we will return, made a real pleasant change to the places along the front touting for your business!

Place is simple and small but nice view,lady owner was very nice.We had herring salad and that was the best dish,dumplings were ok.For mains we had mince patty with mash and salad(mash cold and poor salad but meat very nice) and chickien kiev(the worst I ever had-meat was hard and bit burned-i think it was frozen and deep fried).Food was cheap but I rader pay more and have fresh and juicy chicken kiev with nice sides.

My boyfriend and I decided to treat ourselves to dinner here one night on our recent holiday in Costa Adeje and it was certainly a night to remember! From the moment we walked in we were blown away by the polite and helpful staff who could not have done more to make us feel welcome and make sure we enjoyed our evening. The food was amazing and we were lucky enough to have booked on a Canarian holiday night so the 5 course tasting menu was full of local dishes and paired with local wines. The chef came out to meet us at the end of the evening which was a really nice touch and we couldn't believe when we left that we had been there nearly 4 hours as the time flew by. Finally an authentic tapas restaurant! This restaurant is quite small so recommend dropping in to reserve a table - we were given a table 30 mins after arriving without booking the staff were excellent - there are loads of bars around so we just popped in for a drink while we waited. The tapas didnât all come out at once which was great so we could pace ourselves as we ordered a lot of food! Chopitos, garlic mushrooms and croquettes were our favourites. The mini hamburgers were also delightful! One of our party didnt fancy tapas so ordered pizza which was the other menu option and it was also delicious. Definitely worth the visit. Wow what a guy! What great food at a great price. Only one chap who takes your orders, pours the drinks, cooks your food and then once he's done that he comes out and sings on the karaoke machine!! 3 of us ate here. Ordered steak and mixed meat grill, 2 beers, a wine and apple juice this only came to 24.60 euro and was outstanding value for the food and service we received. As others have already said please don't be put off by outward appearance as you will not be disappointed.

A lovely little place. Staff were really friendly and service was excellent. When we visited the place had been decorated for Halloween, our son loved it. It was nice that although they were showing a football match on the screen, the volume was off so you could listen to the music being played. We didn't eat here but the menu looked really good too. Maybe next time.
