Everything about this restaurant was perfect. From the food to the wine and beer the staff the price and the decor.The staff are really friendly and passionate about the food they serve. They gave us lots of advise about the dishes. The food was excellent and delicious and really good value for money. So glad we found it when we did.

This restaurant offers good quality food from AndalucÃa, much more than simply "pescaÃto frito". Impressive artichokes with clams, tasty tuna and steaks and delicious "cuchareo" casseroles. A more than reasonable wine list and home made desserts, a warm service and a very good price make Venta de Melchor a very good option to stop by for lunch or dinner.

My husband and I arrived for a few tapas. We decided to sit out front for the street views yet dinning on the rooftop or inside is an option. The rooftop is lovely, filled with plants and flowers. Service was great. Menu items are diverse yet local. As a plant base eater I was able to eat with no issues! A hard find sometimes in south of Spain. We ordered a bottle of white wine for happy hour 30%..Highly recommend for food and or drinks.

The one good tapa we shared was overshadowed by the horrible service. It's tourist season, you're in a touristy beach town, you should deal with those facts since this is the majority of the clientele, and you are (thankfully) surrounded by other establishments. Don't waste your time on this one.
