The taste is the thing The name says it all: the food at Tasty Tandoori Indian Restaurant in Sydneyâs Sutherland Shire is all about flavour. Using liberal amounts of the fresh spices that define Indian cuisine, the chefs at Tasty Tandoori consistently tur
Used a coupon deal and we were pleasantly surprised. Service was excellent. Typical Indian menu and food was excellent and filling. Menu pricing very reasonable as were wine prices. They even offer Indian mint breath freshener which you donât see anymore. Will definitely be going back.

We met our good friends at the Bukhara last Saturday 4th May. The catchup for dinner was to re-live the times 15 years ago (about) when the Bukhara was at Caringbah and our children enjoyed looking through the glass at the chefs cooking the food. The experience then, food and service, was very good. However times have changed. While the food was nice, but not great, the service was very poor. UBER eats and Deliveroo drivers walking amongst diners tables to pick up meals was a real distraction. Priority was given to the âTakeaway â meals - each time we wanted service we had to wave our hands to order, ask for water, ask where our meal was, etc. it was appalling. We were not offered dessert, it was like they didnât care! Unless the focus changes to the in-house diners and the other delivery orders are managed better, we wonât be going back!!!

I've been here twice now and the 1st time was better. Lovely flavours and more authentic than many other Indian restaurants nearby. The 1st visit was 4/5. The most recent visit not so good. I recommend booking, because even on a Sunday night, it gets very busy. There was a lady serving with an occasional man in the dining room. The women was running around doing everything though- answering the phone, taking orders, serving meals, giving out pick up orders, cleaning tables & bringing the bills. We were the 1st table to arrive, yet our order wasn't taken till after 2 other tables. We also had to wait to order more drinks, then yet again wait to get the bill at the end. The menu says the chicken khurchan is the favourite dish of the UK. I'm a regular Indian restaurant visitor, and in 15yrs living all over the UK, I have never heard of this dish!!! We asked whether they could make a jalfrezi or phall but advised they only had what was on the menu. The beef vindaloo had a good depth of flavour, but not hot considering we did ask for it extra spicy. The naan was oily but the rice lovely and fluffy. My friends butter chicken was lacking flavour, but the lamb dish was tender and tasty. Its BYO and $2.50 EACH for corkage, not per bottle. Our elderly friend was surprised to be charged even though he'd only sipped the wine to try as was driving. I realise this isn't much, but it doesn't cost $2.50 to wash a glass. We opened and poured the bottle ourselves with no staff involvement at all. The servings aren't huge, so get some vegetable sides also. Overall the meal had some nice flavours, but disappointing elements too.
