This is a very good example of a typical Bavarian Gastenhof serving very well priced local food with the additional value of a magnificent view to the Alps and a lovely Emerald green lake. Worth the 34 Km detour from the beautiful Ramsau

We have always known about this place, often having lunch there, but this time we went for dinner for the first time.
WOW! No other word to describe it. The food was brilliant, with amazing steaks and a mixed grill the like of which I have never eaten before. The service was excellent and the Gashof is in the traditional style. We just couldn't fault it and will certainly be there again on our next visit.

Very friendly staff and the food was awesome but be careful: This is a dedicated smoking restaurant! I did not new that this still exists and Austria has this kind of law, but this restaurant does not have a non-smoking and smoking area, it is smoking everywhere. We were very lucky and good seated in a smaller separee where, coincidentally, nobody smoked, but the waiter advised us that, if a guest comes in and wants to smoke just next to our table, there is nothing he can do about it. However, I give this a good rating since, we were in the said Seating area where nobody was smoking, the food was great and the restaurant is open late.

The whole village was very quiet and it was disappointing that we lunched alone but our Turkey dish was delicious, beautifully presented and freshly cooked. We enjoyed a good selection of fresh salad to start with. The decor is very traditional and we could imagine how busy it might get during the ski season. Clean linen table cloths and attractive table decorations set the scene. One to try.

The Schloss Grubhof, tighty, clean, friendly and helpful front desk, international clientele, the views are breathtaking, great location,...a must see. My husband and I still can't stop talking about it.

Easy going hospitality and value for money. We are staying on the nearby campsite and on arriving late decided to try this restaurant. We were not disappointed. Piping hot food, lots of tasty variety. Traditional surroundings with a modern twist. Spotlessly clean everywhere including the toilets. Pleasant for just a coffee too. Thumbs up

The restaurant located beside the street, easy to find there, we pass by a car and stop to have lunch there, the food was delicious and very more than I expected, a very big dish for one person !!

Visit the Lamprechtshoehle cave and afterwards stop by and get something to eat. The food is homemade and delicious! If you can, leave room for dessert: one of the best Kaiserschmarren I've ever had (the portionsize is HUGE, so either share it with someone or skip the main course). Highly recommended!!

Breakfast is excellent here many different choices i would recommend the ladies breakfast very special! Afternoon coffee & cake is also Excellent many different cake choices. The bakery is also very good too many breads & semmels to choice from!

The restaurant Huwi's Alm within Priesteregg is just beautiful, a truly idyllic alpine setting with incredible views & a cosy but oh so stylish rustic design, it was a pleasure to spend time in such delightful surrounds & it made me want to re-model my home in its image. Food was good rather then great - beef dishes overdone, other meals simply unmemorable. The irresistible setting & ambience would lure us back though.
