The intimate De Wingerdt Restaurant is located at the charming 4-star graded De Doornkraal Boutique Hotel located on the Garden Route in the heritage hub of the town Riversdale in the Western Cape Province of South Africa. De Wingerdt Restaurant was established in order to provide residential guests with an onsite dining option. In order to guarantee that all residential guests are able to be served we require that non-residential guests who would like to enjoy lunch or dinner with us - ensure that Reservations are made at least one day ahead of time. Unfortunately we do not cater for walk in restaurant customers from the months of May to August.

Very small and not the most appealing from the outside, but the inside is very nice. We started to eat outside, but there was too much wind, but not a problem to move us inside. We had the Mediterranean salad and stuffed chicken breast, bot very good. The service was great, and the wines from a small list were an excellent accompaniment.

Stopped for lunch, lovely garden setting and interesting building with all its nooks and crannies. Bobotie wasn't great but the atmosphere made up for the lack of taste. Staff friendly but service slow

Travelling for miles through stunning scenery and views we did not expect to find anywhere for coffee. Then we saw Toetie's Country Shop well signposted with pink signs just off the main road and we received a very warm welcome from Lisa. The coffee was good and the roobos cake so delicious. Tasteful decor, so clean and lovely bathrooms. Many gifts to buy, a real gem, make sure you stop here, you will not be disappointed.

We stopped for a snack while traveling. Ordered four vetkoek with mince as they assured us that will be the quickest. Half an hour later were still left waiting while we were told several times that the kitchen is just serving it now. In the end we left with two plain vetkoek with nothing in it!
Nice little shop with all sorts of crafty things, but certainly not for quick meals while travelling.

My grand daughter and I were driving along the N2 and needed to stop for lunch. We passed the little centre andt decided to turn around to look for somewhere to eat. We decided on La Bella and were not disappointed. The service was quick, friendly and efficient. We both decided on the Greek salad which was beautifully presented and well worth the price. Having a long way still to drive we were very pleased that the service was quick and soon we were on the road again. I would certainly visit again and recommend La Bella to anyone. They are also a deli.

I've you never been to this Wimpy its time that you stop over on your way to Mossel Bay, the staff is friendly and helpful the service is lightning quick you get a little picture drawn on your till slip that does not happen at any other Wimpy, you have to stop and try this Winpy

Head for the outdoors and you'll find this countryside coffee shop combined with beautiful exquisite handmade artistic things! They are situated in the center of the town and offer you the chance to ‘experience something South Africans call - "Local is lekker". The friendly owner knows the area well with all the local attractions. Next time when your drive past in the N2 swing in and check the place out!
