Plymouth (/ˈplɪməθ/ ( listen)) is a city on the south coast of Devon, England, about 37 miles (60 km) south-west of Exeter and 190 miles (310 km) west-south-west of London. It lies between the mouths of the rivers Plym to the east and Tamar to the west, where they join Plymouth Sound to form the boundary with Cornwall.

This is one of the best restaurants I have eaten in recently and is definitely Michelin Star quality in my opinion - it is better than some I have eaten in which are Star rated. Every course we had was top quality and the mushroom soup appetiser was one of the best I have ever had. Do not miss this place if you live in or are visiting Plymouth.

Simply just book a table for a great evening of excellent service, fine wines and great food - which will not break the bank.
Good for large groups, with close friends or a special evening for two - my friends and I would recommend this restaurant as a must to visit.

The Gallery Restaurant at Boringdon Hall

Overlooking The Great Hall, the intimate and deliciously romantic 3 AA Rosette Gallery Restaurant exudes warmth. The traditional beams, intricately carved furniture and cosy nooks are the perfect backdrop for the exquisitely presented fine dining delights that await. This intimate dining den is one of the most original places to eat in Devon. Curiously unforgettable, the Gallery Restaurant is an idyllic setting for relaxed celebrations, romantic liaisons, and remarkable fine dining. Changing with the seasons, the divine menu at the Gallery Restaurant is where our Head Chef, Scott Paton, showcases fine dining using only the finest locally sourced ingredients. Step inside to be tempted by visually stunning and highly executed dishes and fiendishly good desserts.

Wow!! Choose here on a recommendation for my wife's Birthday , so glad we did .
The food was superb, presented in a modern way with tastes to go with the presentation.
Service was a little slow to start but was perfectly timed throughout the rest of the evening with knowledgeable staff explaining each part of the taster menu
I was particularly impressed with the wine list ,which in other fine dining establishments we have eaten in has been priced ridiculously . The wines here started at reasonable prices ( £20) and went up a lot !
Yes its not cheap but it a special occasion place and you will definitely remember it
Thank You

Fabulous pub with great food in a little waterside location in Turnchaple Plymouth. The staff are very friendly and the food is very tasty and plentiful. The only minor point is some of the tables are close to the bar and pool table and can get a bit crowded not a problem if you are drinking but can be a little annoying if eating. They also have regular festivals which are amazing especially the sausage and cider.

West Hoe Fish Fryers

There are a few fast food eat in and out food places in <br>Plymouth some of which have a modest cult status in the city either because of their prominent and convenient position or because of a consistent reputation. West Hoe Fryers has such a reputation for being close to the Hoe foreshore and parkland and foe taking care to maintain traditional standards. There is a steady faytime trade and often a queue for the cafe eating area. Worth a Tripadvisor listing.

I’m sorry to say that after 20 plus years to regularly going to our default chippy that standards are slipping to the point where I’m not sure I’d go back anytime soon.
The fish is lovely. No question
The large sausage is full of odd tasting fat... it squirts out the end.
Not enjoyable.
The pies are ok. Nothing fantastic.
The scampi has become hit and miss. Sometimes it’s over cooked other times almost undercooked.
The chips don’t taste right. Is the fat old? Potatoes different? I don’t know but they are not as nice as they were.
It’s relatively expensive these days and I’ve been disappointed once too often to be confident in recommending West Hoe Fryers as wholeheartedly as I have previously.

Harbourside Fish & Chips

Ordered fish and chips for a Sunday afternoon treat for the family, but only half the order turned up! When called to see what happened to the rest I was advised that they didn’t know and half the party were left without food, unless I wanted to pop down and get it and let the food I did have go cold!
When we did eat what food we had there was no salt and vinegar on it despite it being requesting and whilst the food was tasty it unfortunately wasn’t up to the award winning standard we were expecting.
Perhaps it was an off day and it certainly wasn’t bad but my poor experience will certainly make me think twice about reordering, sorry.

It’s the first time I’ve been here, a nice little place, but the welcome could of been a bit warmer. It was midweek and half the tables were empty, the waitress asked if we had booked, I didn’t , she didn’t look to happy and sat us down at a table. I thought I’d done something wrong. The food was excellent , the service was good, price wise on the upper mid priced. Overall quite good, except the welcome.

Supha's Street Food Emporium

Reviewed By Trevor-and-Gillian - Plymouth, United Kingdom

We've now been to Supha's a few times, both at lunchtime and evenings, and have loved it every time!
Really varied menu to suit every taste and appetite - big / small, mild / hot. We really like the lunch specials, as they encourage you to try dishes you mightn't otherwise order - great value and delicious.
The staff are really friendly and just can't do enough for you. They're very attentive without being imposing. An absolute pleasure.
The decor and layout is perfectly in keeping with the overall "street food" ethos and contributes to an authentic experience and friendly atmosphere.
Our favourite dish is the Malay curry (hot) with coconut rice, although I don't think you'll be disappointed with whatever you order.
We'll be back, and regularly.......
