Krakow is one of the most culturally and politically significant cities in Poland. It was the central site of the Nazi General Government during WWII, and there’s still a residual feeling of solemnity here that’s especially apparent during visits to the Plaszow Concentration Camp and the Oskar Schindler Factory. Both the Historic City Centre and the Jewish District are brimming with cafés, shops, and pubs, and the 10-acre Main Market Square is a medieval feast for the senses.

Polish restaurant and vodka bar
Me and my family liked this place. It’s quite small, dark, yet cosy. We came without a reservation, and got there just in time to still get a table, as during our meal the restaurant quickly filled up. I am a vegan, but my family meat eaters, and we all managed to find something to satisfy us here. My mum had Turkey, and could not have been more content with her meal, as she kept repeating how good it was throughout. My sister had fish, and I found cabbage wraps that worked for me (I just had to ask them to do it without the cheese that they sprinkle on top). The prices were quite good – for the three of us, we paid around 180 PLN (just under 500 SEK), and we all had alcohol with our food. We also got a complimentary shot of liqueur after our meal.

We care for your health and carefully choose the ingredients for the dishes we prepare for you. Here at ZIELONA KUCHNIA you will find only the green cuisine, just as our name suggests. We only serve the finest selection of vegetables, fruit, organic meat, grain products and so much more. Our location may be new but the building itself, right on the courtyard of the council house nr 8, is over 100 years old.We were simply charmed by the wonderful atmosphere, the beauty and the long history of this place. The building was erected around 1908 and was destined to hold a blacksmith and locksmith business. After the First World War a local print shop was open here for years, and all of Chopin’s works were printed here for the first time in history. Today it is a great place for having a cosy get-together and enjoying yourself in great company.
Thank you TA for sending us to this lovely restaurant with exceptional food and service. My husband and I, along with our two twenty something daughters called ahead for a reservation (but only 30 min in advance). Wasn’t crowded at 630 pm but small restaurant...MoreThank you very much :) Zielona Kuchnia

We served the traditional polish cuisine including pierogi, barszcz and other meals from our regional cuisine. If you want to taste the real polish food, Przystanek Pierogarnia is a must on your list. You can order by phone and pick up the food when you arrive. We also have take outs
If you are looking for pierogis and do not feel like dining out, this place is perfect for an afternoon or evening plate of with pierogie . It is small and quaint, just a little touristy. The menu mainly has pierogie, both with tradional dumpling filling and also sweet fillings. You order at t counter and your number is called out. When done, you take your plates back to a window to the kitchen. We had the ruse pierogie and the meat filled with sausage. Excellent food with a cold beer.

Great food, selection, service, modern decor and very good prices! LIVE MUSIC EVERY DAY . Located in the heart of Kazimierz.
Was a bit apprehensive about dining here from Reading comments about the service but decided to make up my own mind.
All started off well as we were greeted upon entry. Starter was nice and then the main course came out. It was at this point the service did not become poor bit became non existent. Both of our main courses were nice but the meat in each were at room temperature. Waited on our side order which never came. 30 mins after finishing we had to ask for the dirty plates to be taken away. Expected to get offered a dessert menu but after another 10 mins we changed our minds and asked for the bill. Prices are not cheap but the live music which started at 8 was very good.

We went on a busy Friday night and were seated immediately. We botj had the steak tartare which was spot on, absolutely delicious. I had duck for the main which was the nicest duck I have ever had. My sister had the beef stew on potato cakes which was equally as nice. The chef even made us our favourite Deserts kogel mogel. Great wine, attentive staff, nice relaxed atmosphere. Can't wait to go back! All for about £60 too.

Arrived in Kraków in the late afternoon only to find the recommended restaurants fully booked. Liked the sound of this one. A short taxi ride from the centre and we have found a peaceful haven. Limited menu but that was far more than compensated for by the sheer quality of the ingredients, the careful cooking and amazing presentation. The flavours of the food were not destroyed by overpowering sauces rather brought out by complimentary components. Everything blended perfectly. Surprise after surprise. Discrete but friendly service. They have a vast selection of wines and were content to offer a tasting.

This is a very popular restaurant so book up on arrival to get in later in your stay. You will not be disappointed. Lovely atmosphere, quality food, and ridiculously good value, 4 of us had two course of exceptional food wine and beer and paid around £25 per head.

The burger was huge and was very tasty. The fillings mixed well, but had trouble finishing the portion due to the sheer size of the burger.
Fries are Belgium fries and comes with free sauces. Enjoyed the garlic sauce in particular.
You can get student price beer at this place as well
Overall a great experience and great food

Special offer: Monday - Friday get a three course lunch for only 24 PLN
After seeing great reviews on TripAdvisor we decided to try this restaurant for an early dinner.
The menus has a good selection of options and states that food will usually be a minimum of 20 minutes due to being make from fresh.
It’s was definitely worth the wait with our beetroot soup, Pad Thai and chicken gnocchi in white wine sauce being delicious. The very reasonably priced wine was also very nice.
To finish we had the flour free chocolate cake which again was amazing.
Throughout the meal the hostess was very friendly, smiling and keeping our water topped up.
All in all, I can’t fault our experience and would definitely recommend going.
