The food and wine was excellent. Small servings between main courses. Good athomsphere. The very young waiter had not clue about the food that was served but we had a great evening and would go again

Came here for lunch on a sunny day and thoroughly enjoyed the atmosphere, unique beers and huge portions of fresh food. An innovative ordering system, where you raise the flag on your table whenever you need the staff's attention means tables are attended to immediately.

If you are on a diet, you're in trouble!
The ice-cream at this place is incredible - all home made and with lots of extras. Guf is fluffy cream/marshmallow that they will put between the scoops. Can thoroughly recommend the blackberry sorbet, chocolate ice-cream, rum-raisin, lemon, vanilla - well everything looked good! The waffle cones are homemade too and you can have sprinkles (drys) and Flødebolle just to ensure the calorie intake goes through the roof!
The kids will love you forever for taking them here!

The closest Tisvilde gets to Italy - Made by italian on italian ingredients. Great coffee. Little overpriced

Living in the countryside, we try to support the local business community as we can - by shopping locally if possible, by using local worforce when something is to be done around the house, and by eating locally when the occasion calls for it. Most oftem these occasions are the annual Christmas and Easter lunches - buffet arrangements offered by all such establishments. This year, our Easter lunch took place at Vossevang Kro - halfway between Frederikssund and Frederiksværk. The concept resembles all the rest - traditional decor, mismatch of styles, predominantly local guests and a traditional buffet with Danish specialties - from herrings, marinated salmon and pan-fried sole to liver paté, meat balls and all the rest. One thing differentiates this one from many others, though - the quality of each single element. Most of it is home made and tasteful, and more delicate than what we have found many other places of the same kind. Staff is friendly and efficient, and the overall experience a very positive one. We may quite surely revert for Christmas to se if they do that equally well...

This place really make the best pizzas I have eaten in a long time. With fresh ingredients and high quality Italian produce everything is really delicious.
It does not look like much from the outside - its also a takeaway place - but you are right in the center of this little village on the north coast of Zealand.
Any meal should be rounded off by their only dessert: a gorgeous tiramisu.

We had lunch and dinner here twice and really loved the food. Lunch consisted of five different dishes to share, all light and very tasty indeed. So nice to sit out on the Terrace. Dinner was also really good. Wine expensive though.

Now manager has restarted this café in Liseleje in 2014 and has decided both to keep the traditional, relaxed Danish food for which the cafe is well known, but has also added a serious touch of very good food. We have visited this place for decades and are pleasantly surprised with the new people at the cafe.
The atmosphere is a reflection of the close proximity to the sea just a few hundred meters down the road and the old house is really charming. On warm summer days the outdoor serving area is absolutely fine with a good view to the forest on the other side of the street.
On joy a stroll in the little town before or after lunch or dinner - and don't forget to watch the sundown from the beach.
