Good, honest German food, portions on the large side - beer brewed on the premises not bad, but not my taste (too doughy), good atmosphere, particularly up in the galary. Good for outside eating parts of the year (obviously), service efficient and brisk, often quite friendly

Whether Schweineschnitzel, Roast beef with Bratkartoffeln or Sauerfleisch with ditto - it all tastes as it should, authentic & 'herzhaft'.
Portions are generous but not silly, the service is very friendly and welcoming and the venue very cosy, being in an attractive cellar vault. And it doesn't bust your wallet.

Very good restaurant, Nice service and high quality products. We combined it with Eut Inhotel. Recommended!

We went to Da Toni looking for some options to suit vegetarians and carnivores alike. Lots to choose from. Pizza and pasta were excellent and even with a large group, the service was quick and friendly. Plus a pretty good selection of wine. The only down side was that they do not take credit cards.

We were a pax of 3 and had the breaded pork in various forms. Food came quickly and was tasty and well presented. At 14 EUR a dish good value for money. Service is very informal and not super well trained as waiters but kind enough
Be aware that you can only pay with cash which is odd in this day and age
Would go back if I was in the area anyway

I've only been twice - once as a sit-in customer and once to buy some Kuchen (Cake really doesn't have the same ring to it!) to take away. As a sit-in customer it is a unique venue, on split levels, with a lovely mish-mash of old furniture and walls lined with books that are for sale but can also be browsed through as you enjoy a cup of freshly made coffee and a piece of delicious Kuchen (which I think is baked on the premises but either way it is not mass produced). Full of character and a lovely place to go if you are a bit fed up with the rather clinical (but wonderfully clean) modern bakers. If you are looking for a cuppa at any time during the day this is definitely a place to visit. I now live locally but, in true German tradition, I will go back again just to have a cup of coffee and probably a piece of cake because it is so delicious! I think you can also sit outside in a little garden area. When I went it was still too cold but I could see it from the upper room where my husband and I enjoyed our coffee. I will definitely be back soon.

A private house open to the public, originally built for a bishop. The brick path to the front door that had a label saying "push the handle". Inside was a large hall with rooms leading from it. One room had home made cakes under glass domes. The friendly hostess explained we could order slices and showed us a menu of drinks. The dining room had small round marble topped tables with three chairs around each. My wife, her nephew and me were three. In one corner was a large tiled stove and a long case clock in the other. Oil painted portraits on the walls. A view to a large garden through the windows. The cakes and drinks matched the pleasant surroundings.
Delighted to make such a pleasant and unique discovery.

The exterior of the store shows this is a place that cares about their guests. I figured why not try a Currywurst and Pommes. As someone who enjoys a good currywurst, this place has to be one of the best in all of Germany! Hot, fresh food, large portions and a reasonable price make it an outstanding choice! There are many other options for those who don't eat meat like potato pancakes, and baked camembert. All of them are delicious!! To top it off, the staff is very friendly and the restaurant is clean. Excellent in all respects!

Centrally located nice little restaurant. The staff at the self serving counter is extremely friendly. The dishes are all home made and freshly prepared. The taste is so lovely. You can taste the quality. Value for money is excellent.
Will definitely come again during our next visit.
