Small family owned restaurant located in a strip mall with various other small restaurants. Do your self a favor and go here first. The owner is very proud of his food and he should be. Service was prompt and everything was served fresh, presented well, and extremely tasty. Large selection of Greek dishes that are all well prepared and a good selection of beers from around the world. Gyro platter included a large Greek salad and rice. Restrooms were spotless.

We ordered take-out at the Pita King last week, mostly because of the good reviews, and they were right! I ordered their Souvlaki Pita wrap which over-stuffed with charbroiled steak and and fresh veggies. So good! My lady had their Souvlaki Plate with charbroiled steak and veggies. Her meal also came with a very fresh salad and pita bread wedges. Both meals were very good and filling, and we had as lot left over for luch the next day! I thought the steak was delicious, but she said it was a bit dry. Anyway, it was a very good meal!

The great reviews promised a wonderful experience of Greek cuisine, but the reality was Americanized dishes. The gyro sandwich ground mixture of chicken and lamb tasted like neither and was dry. Not to have perfectly cooked lamb on the spit is a travesty of a real Greek cafe. The place is a cafe and by no means to be classed as a restaurant. Paper napkins, tzatziki served in small plastic cups like those used for salsa in inexpensive Mexican restaurants, lettuce as a filler in a Greek salad that traditionally has no lettuce, all point to an experience that is affordably unauthentic. The one saving grace was an outstanding chicken soup that my wife had previously experienced and, maybe, is the only reason to return.
