As a hotel guest and not knowing the local area very well my wife and I decided to eat in. What a treat this turned out, the food was simply divine and the extensive wine selection makes it very difficult not to have an extraordinary gastronomic experience.

Ignore the somewhat utilitarian exterior - inside you get some of the best coffees and croissants in this part of France. Friendly cafe with friendly resident dog. Ideal place for a morning coffee on Wednesday market days.

Large seemingly empty dining room was totally pre- booked up on Saturday on our return after half term break en route to Calais . Got the last two places. Delicious if simple fare. Charming and super efficient young woman continually turning away windswept hopefuls. Poisson and moules gratin — cheesy heaven and fab chips. Partner loved his steak. Booking advised! Lots of people having moules frites, fruits de nee platters. Good service. No frills. Will return!!

Still quite quaint and reasonably priced French food but of a limited menu. I had good old moules which were excellent and my wife had cod cooked in herbs and tomatoes and salad both supplied with a good portion of french fries. We shared a Patti starter had a good bottle of Cote du Rone and coffee for €45.

Was really pleased to see that this eatery has been reopened under new management with a great outdoor space to relax with friends. The food was a good price, portion size perfect and staff polite, courteous and friendly. Will certainly be paying further visits when in Wissant.

Had my third lunch here on Saturday. Each time I've visited it's been better than the last. Family-friendly and lovely, fresh, fish-orientated menu. Special mention to the marmite fish stew and the exceptionally fresh spring vegetables. The children's menu is fabulous for the money (turbot!) and the staff are attentive and welcoming. Easy drive from the Channel ports and a five minute walk to Wissant's lovely sandy beach. You could combine lunch with a coastal walk up to Cap Blanc Nez, if you're feeling energetic.

Les Sables d'Opale

My wife and I enjoyed eating their very filling tartines as we sheltered inside the covered seating area watching the sail boarders out on the beach. They do a nice range of snacks and we found one small tartine each (garnished quite generously with salad) more than adequate. Basically the tartine is the French version of a rarebit. They also do waffles, sandwiches etc.Toute l'équipe des Sables d'Opale est heureuse que vous ayez passé un agréable moment.Nous vous remercions pour ces commentaires, agréables à lire, sur nos tartines à l'ancienne.Nous espérons vous revoir bientôt. Merci encore

They know what they’re doing here. Super-thin savoury crepes, crispy at the edges made with garlic butter (optional) were absolutely wonderful alongside a local version ofCamembert, ham and eggs. Lots of options plus amazing looking open sandwiches if you don’t fancy pancakes. All washed down with organic local cider. The desserts looked huge - especially the waffles. There’s an open kitchen and plenty of locally sourced ingredients. We left stuffed and partially protected against the brutal winds coming off the sea. Great place.

Green Bistrot

Le Green Bistro is a small, but charming restaurant, with a lovely interior and an open kitchen. The waiter was really charming and very helpful in explaining the menu.We started our meal with a glass of truly marvellous prosecco and an appetizer made with lentils, quite original. Value for money wise it is hard to beat this restaurant: for only 26 euro you can enjoy a starter, a main course and a dessert. I went for the mushroom soup (which had a very dense consistency) as a starter and the scallops (of course) as a main course. The soup was fine, but the scallops were absolutely fantastic. I ordered a glass of white wine with the scallops. I let the waiter recommend me something, but I have to say this white wine was a bit too sweet to my liking, although, to my surprise, it went perfectly with the scallops. My boyfriend tried some local beers. The crème brûlée with baileys was a great way to finish the meal.My only complaint is that it was too cold in the restaurant. Two degrees warmer and the evening would had been perfect.

From the outside the restaurant reminded us of an american style family dinning in a strip mall. That said the menu is greatly diverse and we had very tasty appetizers, super main and delicious desert. Fairly priced and nice people. Don’t worry they also have an English language menu :-). 5 minutes of A16 to Calais, Will be back in the future.Hi,Thank you for your visit and thank you for your review on TripAdvisor !
