We visited here twice whilst staying nearby and found everything about this place very good. Sat outside in the hot sunshine our drinks order was taken promptly by a friendly server and the drinks came very quickly. After taking a long time looking over thew varied menu we decided on the Eggs Benedict and the Queen Victoria salad and they were both amazing. We indulged in a dessert, both having the white chocolate mousse - yummy!! Everything was beautifully presented and reasonably priced. We had a sharing platter on our second visit which was very filling and really good value.Loved it all!!

We stopped for a quick lunch (the restaurant was able to give us the full lunch menu in just under 1-hour) while dashing for the Channel Tunnel!Delightful and prompt service, well appointed restaurant with what must be a stunning outside area for the warmer months. Tasty food, one dish that really challenged us - the warm fois gras with cold sashimi/pea velouté made us both struggle with the textures/temperature, but the fish main and in particular the stunning meringue/baked Alaska desert was perhaps the most delightfully presented dessert we have eaten. Top marks all round. Also, without wine, the meal was good value, but we felt the restaurant overcharged for fizzy water and coffee.

We ate here for the second time recently and it was as good as it was when it first opened. It is a family run restaurant and in a very rural setting, in a beautiful atmospheric house. The basic menu is excellent and there are daily specials, ranging from fish to meat and vegetarian, though not a wide choice, there is something for everyone. Food is presented beautifully, tastes delicious and service was efficient and friendly. The cook/owner speaks enough English to help with any menu queries and is very helpful!

Looked promising from reviews and initial impression; simple modern place serving standard fare. We were not as smitten as other reviewers. Two menus (plus a la carte), one 24€ the other 33 € for three courses and coffee. Pâté de foie gras starter was decent enough, but duck breast as main course was embarrassingly poor; served medium-well done when ordered rare, most of the skin removed, tough, and served with an overly sweet sauce. The burger and frites we saw served to another table looked a lot more appealing. We were demoralized and passed on desserts. Limited wine list, two whites, two rosés and four reds, plus carafe wines. Husband in the kitchen, wife working the front of the house. She had less visibility than optimal. Couldn't get either of our two credit cards to work (no problems in prior week) so had to pay cash.

Highly recommend! Excellent food off a varied menu and presented nicely at a decent price in a clean and modern dining room. Too cool for us to be outside, but there is suitable patio seating. Good value. Glad we went!

The hotel is located on a small by-water of the Seine in a pretty location and although it is next to a small time share development, this does not intrude in any way. It is a place that one would expect Mr Toad, Ratty, Badger from Wind in the Willows, to emerge and row the skiff that resides by the waterside. Once there we received a wonderfully friendly and professional welcome from Karine the owner and one immediately was able to understand why the hotel was so successful. She possesses great empathy and vitality and truly cares that her guests are content and well looked after. We were two couples and had suites 1 and 2 which overlooked the water and proved lovely rooms of great charm but not huge modernity, which suited us well. Each was different with one having a duvet and the other blankets; with one having a jacuzzi but both having walk in showers, lovely bathrooms and separate wc's. Each had a balcony, which was private though connected and gave a superb vista of the riverlet and the grounds. We had a relax on the balcony and were able to watch the resident kingfisher along the water and then a visiting coypu....not an otter, as we first thought. The whole situation made one forget that there were some issues, such as the balcony needed to be painted, as there was peeling but one has to accept in these types of upmarket tranquil hotels that constant renovation is a necessity and that this is the price one pays for not staying at a ultra modern hotel with stainless steel everywhere, instant access to every technological device and everyone rushing around with smartphones attached to their ears. This hotel is the opposite of this with peace, calm and high standards the order of the day even if the building might benefit from areas needing a lick of paint.Downstairs there is the bar, lounge area and restaurant, part of which is a conservatory area looking right over the water. Breakfast is also served there and this was outstanding and I appreciated the fact that they did not have a buffet but served everything at your table and I mean everything from meats, cheese, jams, croissants, breads, cakes, juices, pureed apple, yoghurts, coffee etc etc. etc We had one dinner in the main restaurant and one in their bistro which is about 100 yards away on the adjoining road. Both were excellent with the bistro being great for a less formal type meal, as it is based on a Spanish bistro with paella, tortilla, cooked hams etc but equally there are fish, steaks, burgers etc on the menu. It proved good value and just right as that day we had enjoyed a good lunch on our travels. The main restaurant is run by Eric Legrande, who is an award winning chef and who had the good grace to make an appearance (complete with his richly deserved medal) after the meal. He was passionate about his food and was a real character who may also have been equally successful on a variety show as The Singing Chef, as he was full of good natured interaction. His cooking was excellent and some of the choices quite innovative, whilst others were more traditional. For example there was a foie gras with smoked eel or a poached egg with petit pois veloute and crisp andouillette...both were delicious. So to was the guinea fowl in traditional Norman sauces and the poached peach with sorbet in a divine fruit soup was a great way to finish the meal....that is before the complimentary calvados. It is not an overly cheap place to stay but there again it is good value for this type of hotel, provided you do like standards maintained and an un-rushed but efficient ambience. Thank you, Karine and your staff for looking after us so well.

Dinner last night with Hubby and it was amazing! We do not speak French and were very warmly greeted. We were shortly provided with a server that spoke English. The Manager attempted to greet us as well and managed a “welcome” in English which was charming.Dinner was delectable! The amuse busch was carrot foam with smoked cod and was a true delight to start.Hubby’s entree of Duck was delicious but my fish dish was the star of the evening. The sauce complimented the fish like nothing we’ve ever had before! It included spinach which also an amazing accompaniment.A cheese plate and dessert finished out our fixed price menu with an added bottle of Rose wine. The decor is fun and interesting, the staff very warm and welcoming and the food extremely wonderful! I highly recommend a visit.Rhhoooo ! Thank you so much for this wonderful message. It is so kind of you to express your feeling following your visit. We need such a return, because we are still a young restaurant and we are not well known yet. So your message warm us a lot. thank you also for your evaluation and your recommandation.
