We live near Brasserie Philipe and have eaten here 4 or 5 times. Never disappointed, always good food and good, reliable service. the French eat here in droves - look at the other reviews - nearly all French! A family establishment. The portions are generous - don't come here for nouvelle cuisine! the food is well cooked traditional home style cooking. At our last visit we had ficelle Picarde and smoked salmon to start and then for main I had a great steak and frites with pepper sauce and my wife had a ham and cheese omelette cooked to perfection. On the omelette, this was the first time she has been asked for the 'cuisson' on ordering! She said 'a point' and it was perfect, slightly runny in the middle! Stunning value. The whole meal including a half litre of excellent house rose and two coffees was â¬43.00!!

We came here on a rather cold day when the rest of the town seemed to be shut. there were only a couple of others in the place but the lady was very friendly.We had the Steak tartare , which was a bit over mayo'd but also very tasty, and two large portions. The wife had a lovely garden salad, that was plentiful and very tasty.All in all a great place for a spot of lunch. We would happily go back.

This restaurant was opposite the hotel where some of our biking group were staying - so very convenient. There were 12 of us, and we were each so delighted with the meal we had that we went back again the following evening!!

We booked a table for 7 at this restaurant and were looking forward to eating here. On arrival we were given menus to peruse. However we requested some advice on one of the entrees - on asking the waiter he said they had no entrees that night - so we said is that from the fixed price menu or the whole menu - we were told the whole menu - he then proceeded to say they only had 4 main dishes as well - moules, kangaroo, steak or pork. We asked if they had pasta and they said no. We decided we couldn't eat form a menu with so little choice so left - they could have informed us when we booked or at least when we sat down!! Very poor service and would certianly not return.

Visited here on a lovely sunny afternoon to claim my lunch which I won as a prize in a golf competition. It was very busy (Thursday) but service was good and prompt. Seabass - poisson du jour- was a whole fish, not what I expected for the price as I had selected three courses from the â¬24.50 menu. The starter was foie gras mousse and dessert was rumbaba drenched in alcohol, all washed down with a half bottle of decent Macon des Villages reasonably priced at â¬17. Wonderful experience and actually I'd been very happy to have paid for such a tasty well presented meal.

Ample space to eat on the terrace, good menu, fantastic preparation and great flavours. Good portions for children's menu. Friendly and prompt service. Best food experience we had in Merlimont.

We had a nice enough meal, but in essence it is just comfort food, avocado & prawn starter followed by steak with roquefort sauce. I didn't find anything terribly inventive or unique about the menu, but maybe the dinner menu is better than the lunch one. However, service was good and friendly and the restaurant is well used by the locals, but with many really excellent establishments in town, I'm not in any hurry to go back here.

We had an evening meal here , a family run establishment , very friendly and welcoming. Both the fish and beef were excellent and the set menu for Euro 33 , which includes an excellent smoked salmon starter.. Good quality food and an extensive wine list, and excellent value .Would recommend a visit , booking would be recommended, and in good weather one can dine outside in the garden.

Small restaurant but very funny owner and talkative....Not as good as Aux contes de la Bécasse in Saint Josse but worth it as prices are reasonable, there is a wide choice of starters, main dishes and desserts....Very good choice of winesWould really recommend this resto if you don't want to drive too far from Stella-Plage, reachable quickly and easily

This seems to be a well established restaurant , family owned .We had a great dinner there.We went on the recommendation of local people.It was a very nice culinary experience.We were in this area of northern france to have nice seafood as it is close to the sea and the local restaurateurs are very proud to offer their gret sea products.We were very happy with food , which was very tasty and delivered at a good pace not too slow or fast.The wines were classic french like Muscaet / Sancerre and Chablis and some varietal by the glass like sauvignon and chardonnay from the pays d oc .The room wasn t very busy.The atmosphere was very relaxed in the winter , the room very nicely decorated and feeling warm.The service was very attentive.Highly recommended.
