Capelle aan den IJssel [kaːˈpɛlə aːn dən ˈɛi̯səl] ( listen) is a town and municipality in the western Netherlands, in the province of South Holland. The municipality had a population of 66,712 in 2017, and covers an area of 15.40 km (5.95 sq mi), of which 1.15 km (0.44 sq mi) is water. It is situated on the eastern edge of Rotterdam, on the Hollandse IJssel river.

Not knowing what to expect, it was double pleasure when one is explained the concept of the restaurant: it is 'all one can eat' but in a luxe offering! The menu card has about 17 "entrees", about 23 main dishes and the dessert buffet very complete! Every dish presented in a very elegant way, tasting delicious and making you want for more, which is great as one can just keep on ordering ! And... everything (except dessert) is brought to the table, so the relaxing atmosphere and comfortable seating arrangement provided is not interrupted! We had a very nice evening and for sure shall return!

What a wonderful experience!From the moment of arrival being welcomed at the door was nothing less than a touch of class.The ambiance was shear elegance with an eye for detail. Whilst pleasantly seated close to the fire place, we enjoyed a 3-course meal, in which fish was served as the main course. The exquisite combination of flavours was magnifique.To top it off, when my eyes noticed the upright Grand Piano, I couldn't resist the pleasure of playing it for a moment.Ross Lovell aan den IJssel... highly recommended!

The place is very unassuming at first glance, but don't be fooled. It's a top notch restaurant with excellent food and best service. The whole thing is designed to be an experience and it is amazing. All this for only 30 euro + drinks. Just got my favourite restaurant in Rotterdam!

Impeccable service. Delicious innovative food beautifully presented. Each dish a true work of art. Very different and interesting flavors and ingredients combined together to leave your palette greatly satisfied. The staff was so nice, professional, and timely. There are not a lot of restaurants nearby, so this place fills a niche. Nice and informal, typical no nonsense style with some sophistication.Very pleasant service and, most important, great food from a large menu.Not cheap but the quality outweighs the price by far.And always 'gezellig' as we say here.

Great wines & food, excellent service. We were a large party of 25, and serving so many the same menu simultanously is always challenging for a gourmet kitchen, but the Fitzgerald team pulled that off with onøy a few small glitches; a piece of meat not as tender as you could expect, and some vegetables that should have been replaced. However, that is excuceable with such a large group, and I would love to come back with a small party to really enjoy other options on the menu. Dear Tom, thank you for your kind review. All around superb restaurant. Went with friends that know it well and it was highly recommended. Everything, from Mandyâs professional and friendly service to the absolutely delicate and high quality menu, we were delighted to enjoy a superb lunch. It's no so big and they don't have so many tables and that is why the atmosphere is fantastic. The staff is wonderful. The food gorgeous. So far it's one of our michelin restaurants next to La Finca of Susy Diaz in Elche, Spain. We will come back

Nice ambiance and surprisingly good food in this restaurant that one would never find by coincidence. The chefâs 4 course surprise menu was simply excellent. Creative, nicely presented and very tasted. We liked the ceviche and loved the âbavetteâ. Very good housewines (sauvignon blanc and negroamaro cabernet). Can not wait to go back

We enjoyed a dinner here that was delicious, Michelin star worthy. Lost track but around 8-9 courses with tasty and beautiful looking dishes, using flowers and herbs. The restaurant is run by a young, very hardworking couple who make you feel very welcome. Recently redecorated the place with nice furniture.
