Reviewed By DeesLeesThis hotel (which was previously a hospital) sits in a wonderful location for a nature/ hiking trip or visit to Valkenburg. Room 120 was a good size for two people for one night. The beds were comfortable and it was very quiet at night. Our bathroom had a bathtub AND a shower, two sinks and, of course, a toilet - very big indeed. Following covid rules was very easy and the hotel has it set up perfectly for food pick for in-room dining. The playground and outside sitting area is vast and wonderful and the parking lot is huge. Very friendly hotel employees too. We hope to return someday!

Exceptional Service from Hosts
Reviewed By hia297The Host couple was exceptionally gracious. We were served freshly brewed coffee and cakes on arrival. The Lady of the house offered to do the laundry for us when she found out that we have been 3 weeks on the road. The Man of the house carried our luggages from the car park to our room.

Our inn has sixteen rooms that meet the diverse needs of various groups. For a lonely pilgrim in search of a place to stay, but aswell for a newlyweds looking for a romantic place to spend their wedding night. Simple, but very cozy! In addition to our rooms, we also have a very nice restaurant, meeting facilities and banquet rooms.
A must visit in the "dirty South"
Reviewed By deschrienBorn in 1978 just about 400meters as the crow flies from "De Geulhemermolen" I just had to celebrate my 40th birthday party at this smashing authentic location, right next to the river Geul. Exactly in the middle between Maastricht and Valkenburg, the very "Dirty South". We now live in 'Holland', about 200 km's from my birth origin. With 5 couples and 10 kids we enjoyed this smashing former watermill. What a picturesque location. We had the most fine dining bbq diner from chef Fred and dedicated service from patron Henri. These are the kind of staff you happily hand-over with their best of skills to serve your very closest friends. Every wish you have is met at best service, and even better they top your request with even better suggestions. In the neighboring garden we enjoyed the swimming pool and closeby are several playgrounds. Simply heaven for celebrating parents and children. The bar has multiple beers on tap and 40 special bottled beers. Wines too are exquisite. All staff have the Southernmost hospitality, this region is so famous for. The rooms have recently been completely renovated and the beds are a killer. I've never seen my friends so rejuvenated after a night out. Geulhemermolen, what a feast in the Dirty South!!

Heb je de regio Valkenburg al eens verkent met de racefiets, dan is de kans is groot dat je er al eens bent langsgereden. Bike B&B Brakke Berg. Waarschijnlijk was je op dat moment alleen meer bezig met het bordje dat een hellingspercentage van 14% aangaf dan de omgeving in je opnemen. Voor de fijnproever van Zuid-Limburgse kuitenbijters, glooiende Heuvelland routes en Valkenburgse gezelligheid is deze B&B een top tip om eens lekker sportief te ontspannen in het zonnige Zuiden. Bike B&B Brakke Berg is een mekka voor de sportieve fietser, waar samen bewegen, gezondheid en gezelligheid centraal staan. Deze kleinschalige, gezellige bed and breakfast, ligt op een toplocatie in het Geuldal. Direct aan de voet van de beklimming van de Brakkeberg. Er zijn acht kamers voorzien van heerlijke bedden om je hardwerkende benen een welverdiende nachtrust te geven. De locatie ligt langs en dichtbij mooie routes voor wielrenners en mountainbikers. Zelfs de Amstel Gold Race trekt er jaarlijks voorbij. Geen zin om te fietsen? Dan ben je op slechts vier kilometer van Valkenburg en acht kilometer van Maastricht. Perfect voor een dagje weg. Voor de wielerliefhebber is dit echt één van de mooiste plekjes van Nederland.

Reviewed By MrtnVgtNew owners and a make over have turned this place into a wonderful bike b&b. The rooms are still basic but they have been refurbished into very nice and comfortable rooms. The beds are just great. Victor and Delia run the Brakke Berg with pasion for the guests and for cycling. That and the location right at some of the best cycling routes makes this an excellent place to plan a cycling trip.
