Thomson (originally called Slashes) is a city in McDuffie County, Georgia, United States. The population was 6,778 at the 2010 census. The city is the county seat of McDuffie County. Thomson's nickname is "The Camellia City of the South", in honor of the thousands of camellia plants throughout the city. Thomson was founded in 1837 as a depot on the Georgia Railroad. It was renamed in 1853 for railroad official John Edgar Thomson and incorporated February 15, 1854 as a town and in 1870 as a city. It is part of the Augusta – Richmond County Metropolitan Statistical Area.

We love Bojangles and will stop in different cities to grab breakfast and especially the biscuits. We were traveling with friends and wanted to introduce them to Bojangles. Much to our surprise after we all ordered sausage egg biscuits, they were so soaked in butter that you couldn't even eat them. They were salty tasting because of the butter. My husband went to counter to ask for one that wasn't that way and when he brought it back to table, it was the same, soaked in butter. I guess we should have said something to the manager, because we know Bojangles have good biscuits. Whoever was doing the baking just got carried away with it. Other than that, the place was clean and staff friendly.

I swung by to try out the Short Rib Sandwich, and enjoyed it profusely with my headphones on to avoid listening to the loud sermon full of bigotry and vile spewing from the sound system. While Iâve learned to tolerate the Southâs addiction to terrible contemporary religious music in eateries, actually being surrounded by such filth made me question their sanitation rating. Eww.Definitely a drive-thru option, unless youâre into that kind of thing, then enjoy.

Breakfast biscuits here are usually good. Chicken is spicy and vegetables are greasy. However, the morning crew is always friendly and helpful, even if they don't stock decaf coffee! The dining room shows its wear from years as a Hardee's and Popeye's.

I have never been to a Taco Bell! Stopped by for a Thursday lunch on my way thru town.Food, service, cleanliness all pretty good. My only question....where's the beef? Have a look at the attached photo...my taco probably had a single tablespoon of beef in each one!
