I came here for an early dinner on my commute.I ordered the steamed shrimp with veggies ($11).I decided to eat in as they have plenty of booths. Only it was a hot day and the room was not air conditioned. It was ready in 5 minutes and was a very good meal that was filling.

This newly opened Five Guys is located on Oxford Road (Route 67) in the Market 32 plaza. There’s plenty of parking. The restaurant has been well maintained and clean on our few visits. The people who work here are very friendly. If you enjoy shelled peanuts, you can help yourself for free. My kids love the hamburgers here. The fries are good; we like dipping them in the malt vinegar. They overflow the fries so you get way more than you’d expect. I didn’t love the grilled cheese on a hamburger bun. I would have preferred regular bread. The kids also like the soda machine, which offers a large variety of drinks. Dinner for 3 was almost $30. It’s pricey fast food.

Al's Hot Dog Stand

We live close to Al's and visit a few times each summer. There are some things that Al's has nailed down, like their cheeseburger. You don't need anything on it. No condiments. It's delicious. I used to rave about their fried shrimp but they've changed to using butterfly shrimp which just aren't as good as the whole shrimp they used to fry up. The seasoning's not there. They do now have fried calamari which was excellent the first time I had it but slightly undercooked this last time. If they could get some consistency there, I'd be a bigger fan. Always worth a trip. Loads of hotdogs/sausages available. My husband likes them.
