25 May, 2018.We had gone shopping to YouMe Town, the supermarket adjacent tothe Hiroshima University's Higashihiroshima/Saijo campus. We werehungry soon after, and decided to patronise this joint. Thiswould be our first experience with a McDonald's restaurant in Japan.Would there be any region-specific delights, or would this be thewell-standardised fare which is available globally? The Wife alsowanted to be limited to vegetarian options (we did not find anyone listed, on first glance), or chicken, or fish. We chose threechicken cheese burgers, at JPY 20 each. Nice and tasty, as usual!The joint accepts credit card payments, has interesting kiddiepatterns on the walls, and is divided into two parts: one a basicarea for the counters, and the second, a sitting area. Thesitting area has chairs of two colours, yellow and brown. Thereis a small sink in the middle for washing one's hands. Theproximity of the joint to the Hiroshima University sees a lot ofpatronage by students of the University. The timings of 09:00 amto 11:00 pm also make it quite University-friendly!

東広島市の国道375号沿いにあります。近くにマクドナルドなどもあります。よくランチをしに行くのですが12時から13時の間は混雑していることが多いので、ちょっと早めの時間に行ったりします。お値段もリーズナブルですし、うれしいですね。

21 June, 2018.With Junior's obsession for patronising McDonald's jointswherever he goes, it is hard to convince him for something elselest he throw a tantrum. He simply loves the fish burger.We followed his footsteps. The Wife sent Junior to do the ordering.By the time The Wife came to the counter, she discovered thatJunior had given a slew of orders: two separate fish burgers, onea combo meal, with a small packet of French Fries, and a drink(Sprite), and Chicken McNuggets with sour cream (not the other spicy option:Junior does not like spicy food). The bill came to a total of JPY 1410.The usual McDonald's fixed great taste and quality was on offer again,and Junior excitedly told us that he would not mind another fish burger.We were now a bit taken in by the aroma of fast food all around,and would go in for two pieces of dessert each, an ice cream(Vanilla for me: JPY 150, and Chocolate and Almond for The Wife and Junior:JPY 200 each), and a McFlury's each, which cost us JPY 290 apiece.A nice meal, and we set out for home, satisfied.
