Had the tasting menu and worth every penny. Beautifully presented and every mouthful marvellous. You do need to book as there are only about 18 covers, and you will probably need Google Maps to find it. But worth the effort. The restaurant is bright, and tables very spread out. There is even a children’s menu. Currently open Wednesday through Sunday and practice your French as no English is spoken (no bad thing!).

4 of us for lunch. I tend to think of three things when looking at a restaurant - ambience, food and service. Let's take ambience first; a bit off the beaten track ( 2 minutes, no more), restrained decor but some fun touches and artworks - good quality fixtures and fittings - plates and glasses not quite fine-dining but pretty close. Tables spaced well. A good start.Food. Unqualifiedly fantastic. Starters are very detailed and each detail works in the dish as a whole - a very delicate touch with spicing and seasoning and some top notch ingredients. Mains - veal and pork - were up to the same standard with an attention to detail I've only seen in Michelin starred establishments - and 2 stars at that in many cases. Desserts are well thought through - generous portions and stylish presentation. Coffee and treats excellent. Faultless. I don't often say that but it is true of this place. Excellent wine list which is also excellent value.Service highly professional but unfussy.Thank you for a memorable meal and long may it continue - we are all looking forward to coming back and while Brive is not local to me it's worth the trip for a meal of this quality.

We very much enjoyed lunch here with our family. The "menu du jour" is excellent value: €14.50 for four courses and a jug of wine - today the menu consisted of a very tasty plate of crudités, followed by roast chicken with prunes and rice, a plate of cheeses and a choice of deserts. The children's menu (crudités, chicken nuggets and desert) was also good value at €9.50. Set menus are priced from €28 - €37 and looked worth exploring (on our next visit!)

Popped in here for dinner with two young, flagging children at 6.15pm, food starts serving at 7pm but the staff made an effort to take our order at 6.30pm. We ordered two pizzas - wow what turned up was amazing! Two lovely pizzas topped with quality ingredients and packed with flavour. The duo and the tartiflette pizzas were amazing. White wine was also good. Good all round service. Two pizzas and a late of fries was more than enough to fuel four hungry people!. Well worth a visit.

An excellent dinner for two, built around the ‎€28 Menu Collongeois. After an aperitif, a starter of Saumon mariné à l’aneth et poivre de Séchouan, salade de fenouil à l’orange and then a main of Suprême de pintade fermière label rouge contisé au citron confit, jus réduit au tandoori. A Goat's Cheese to follow, and then the Flognarde aux pommes fondantes, caramel de cidre. A bottle of Cahors and ½ of Badoit to wash it down and l'addition amounted to less than €55 a head. A real bargain for cookery of this quality!

Hallelujah at last a restaurant in the region which serves something other than confit of duck! This was our first visit to this newly opened restaurant but it certainly won't be the last. The cooking is well constructed and inventive with delicate flavours, fish is handled expertly and cooked to perfection, sauces light and flavoursome. Desserts leave you wanting more, everything cooked to order and as fresh as a daisy. This young chef has a passion for cooking which shows through in everything he sends to the table. The dining room and terrace have well spaced tables, comfortable seating and pretty table settings. This restaurant deserves to be full at every sitting, get in whilst you can.We were given a tour of the bedrooms which have every modern convenience beautifully furnished, light and airy. The location is in a quiet village but close to many tourist destinations, they only have four bedrooms which I'm guessing just won't be enough!

We had the daily menu ("menu du jour") and it was both delicious, and affordable. For 19€, duck tartare, rocamadour cream veal, and gourmand coffee were a treat. The waitress was agreeable. So I hope the restaurant continues to offer good quality meals like that.

I had the Vegetable Salad (which comes with an egg) and it was incredible. Very fresh: lettuce, asparagus, wax beans, snow peas, artichoke, cantaloupe, tomatoes, carrots, beet, radish, potatoes and cucumber. If there was dressing, it was very subtle. My husband ordered the same, but with rich and delicious foie gras. The rolls were wonderful too.

Restaurant régional honnête et sérieux. Très bon accueil, bon rapport qualité/ prix et très bonne cuisine régionale. A découvrir.

Several people who have lived in this area much longer than us recommended we try this place. Apparently, the lunchtime menu was good value for money. So, we took four visitors there, though for an early evening meal, rather than lunch. We wish we hadn't. The service was slow and lacking in any warmth. The meat we ordered was tough and chewy and the vegetables were pretty tasteless. Maybe the lunch is better.
