I sometimes go to Rennes to visit some friends of mine and last weekend we decided to try this restaurant for the first time out of curiosity after we saw they have just changed owners. We had a very pleasant evening on the terrace. The location is great, in a very quiet area of the town centre on the Canal which is quite relaxing and offers a nice view. All tables have been offered a glass of Champagne on the occasion, to celebrate their opening which we thought was a very nice touch. The service was very friendly and helpful. The food was exquisite. Very fine and tasty as well as beautifully presented. I'm not a sweet-tooth and can easily finish a meal without dessert, but these are a delight. Very balanced and light, I can't even imagine going back and not trying another one next time. If you are looking for a fine dining experience without an expensive bill, this is the place to go! The tough part is to chose, each dish is more mouth-watering than the next. Had lunch here, went with a main course each and a sweet crepe for desert. They brought out a little slice of a really tasty crepe as an asume bouche which was lovely and spicey. I then had a gallete with mustard cream sauce and sausage whilst my wife had a prawn, scallop and chilli one. They also had more traditional choices if you fancied them. Both were delicious and I would happily have returned for dinner. It was also reasonably priced. Definitaly it's one to book though, it was chucking it down and we were lucky to get a table for lunch, but for dinner I think you'd need to make a reservation.

A very pleasant room, well decorated, comfortable chairs, very welcoming, charming staff. Chef is married to the lady in charge of the restaurant. Food, interesting, well plated and cooked, we had chosen the 3 course menu but added the cheese later as the portions were small, usual lack of vegetables. All served rather quickly but a pleasant meal overall.Dear guest Thank you for your lovely comments about our decor. I understand you were a little disappointed with the portion size of our menu and the lack of vegetables on your dishes. We do tend to favour quality over quantity but we would not have been offended in the least if you had asked for extra vegetables. If service was a little rushed , I do apologise. We do have a lot of workmen staying with us at this time of year and they tend to want to have dinner quickly to get back to their room and rest. This is by no means an excuse but more of a possible explanation. We should have assessed the fact that you were in no hurry. I do hope that this will not prevent you from returning to our establishment.

Attractive looking restaurant at a picturesque location. Summer evening and we sat on the terrace overlooking the lake. Laid back ambience. Wide ranging menu covering several continents ; North African, Asian, TexMex as well as standard European fare. Slightly grumpy young waitress, charming young waiter. All added to the ambience. Surrounded by family groups enjoying a Sunday evening out. Eclectic decor that gradually came to life as the lights came on. Would recommend for a laid back summer evening out.

When in the surroundings of Rennes: visit Le Genty Home! Chantal and Sebastien combine excellent service (with a BIG smile!) with a truly delicious and high quality menu! We visited their lovely place twice during our holiday and next time when we are in Bretagne this will be our first stop! Not often that you find a restaurant where both children and their parents feel right at (Genty) home!

While being a bit off the beaten track in a small village, this place is just marvelous. Very stylish design meets perfect service and a creative kitchen. We went for the menu for 75 Euros that started with very interesting little dishes, and culminated in a perfect turbot. The sommelier suggested very fine wines by the glass as well. We paid 210 Euros for two people, exceptional value for the food and surroundings offered.

I had the opportunity to have dinner in this beautifull restaurant. Just outside of Rennes. What to say I was going around in Bretagne and finally I found I place wher you can eat well. It seems to be in Tuscany. The food excellent the service very good. The Owner receive you inb special way and feel at home. Professionality, good food, price incredible, what to say more, we had bottle of wine from Bolgheri ( Volpolo ) very good. The chef Yvonne is make some exclusive dish.Thank you so much for the persons tha send me there. I hope to be back soon. Thank you to all person that they work in the restaurant
