The restaurant name says it all but dont be fooled! The food is excellent all round and the table service also. Not a huge menu but perfectly suitable for Sunday lunch. (Dont expect a typical âEnglish Roastâ, this is France!!)Tasty, delicious and well presented, all our âfour coursesâ made us smile. Madam even allowed us to take our sweet before the cheese!! Well worth a visit at any time.

We went for lunch again to this great restaurant last Saturday and again had a fabulous meal in great surroundings and with friendly and helpful service. The food was superbly cooked and of incredible quality and quantity for the price. Very highly recommended yet again.

This little restaurant is an absolute gem, based in a sleepy French village, yet almost always full - it is best always to book in advance, especially at lunchtime. We have eaten here many times and never been disappointed. The welcome is friendly, service is with a smile from the husband and wife team who run the place - and the food is excellent. We were there with some relatives just a few days ago, for lunch. The starter was a tomato soup with pasta and served with crunchy baguette. Delicious! This was followed by an hors d'oeuvres entrée consisting of lettuce, shredded carrots, marinaded cucumber, fish terrine, saucisson and hard-boiled egg with mayonnaise. Fresh-tasting and also delicious. There was a choice of 2 main courses - navarin of lamb or merlot (a white fish) grilled with aromatic herbs and spices. We all chose the lamb, which was superb - tasty and succulent, served with potatoes boiled in butter, which were also very good. This was followed by the cheese course - a slice of blue cheese and a slice of soft white cheese, served with salad and more crusty bread. The meal was finished off with a choice of fresh fruit salad, creme caramel with chantilly cream or ice-cream, chosen from about a dozen flavours. All was superb. The meal included wine and coffee - all for â¬14 per person. This restaurant is unpretentious but the food almost reaches gourmet standard and is always fresh and of excellent quality. We left feeling both physically and psychologically satisfied. Highly recommended yet again!

Fell upon this wonderful bistro in the village of Duras and had the most delicious lunch here. The pork was perfect as was my partners homemade quiche, all fresh homemade food. Simple menu, beautifully cooked and presented. All the staff were so kind and friendly, total treat and wouldnât hesitate to return. Really superb and well worth a visit.

This restaurant is in a lovely courtyard setting within Duras. There werenât any starters on the menu that we could see....but trust me they arenât needed as the mains are huge. We all had pizza and my only criticism is the unnecessary quantity of toppings as it made the pizzas soggy. That aside I would definitely recommend and return. The ice creams we had for dessert were lovely.

Steven is a great young chef and is now at Le Cabri and serving some of the best food in Duras. At Le Cabri, we try and use local ingredients where possible. Le Cabri is set in a great location, why not enjoy great food while watching the sunset? Check ou

It is a while since we last visited the Hostellerie des Ducs because we moved house but we did not need to worry. The Blanchet family is still firmly in charge and the service remains superbMadame still runs the dining room with Stephanie and as always the greeting was warm and friendlyWe took two English friends who were suitably impressed with the quality of the food
