We went there for lunch and had to wait quite a while. The reason was that everything was made fresh. It was well worth the wait. Fantastic Burger and also the other meals tasted nice and well prepared.

We visited this restaurant after a brief excursion to two scenic old villages, RoÄ and Hum. Both are strongly recommended hidden gems of the Istria.Rocka Konoba is a great restaurant with a lovely environment, family atmosphere, friendly service and most important of all excellent food. The truffle and home made pasta were heavenly, and our kids loved the gnocchi with goulash and the pilotée. Strongly recommended for everyone.

We loved the pizza bianco (made with a cream base instead of tomato sauce). We ordered one with truffles and thinly sliced mushrooms and another with proscuitto and rugula. Combined with glasses of the house red - a flavor explosion! I had never been a particular fan of truffles up until this point - but now, WOW! I'm a convert. My husband somehow managed also to consume (and enjoy) a dessert of chocolate filled palaczinta (sp? crepe-like pancakes). All that and two schnapps came to about the price we would pay for a single pizza back home. The Rotunda cooks its pizzas in a wood-fired oven. The service was just perfect the evening we were there - quick and friendly. The decor isn't great, the lighting is a bit harsh and there's a TV running all the time, but those are minor drawbacks. We will definitely return - probably tomorrow. I think I might try the homemade gnocchi they advertize..... with truffles, of course!

When in Istra it is worth visiting this place since you will be able to try fuži filled with different ingredients, from cheese to wild asparagus and muchroms... Although Istrian by origins Iâve never tried better ones.

We had the local beef pasta. It was delicious! Kids were also well catered for too. Our fussy 13 year old had grilled chicken straight off the fire! The outside balcony has a lovely view, although as it as so busy we had to eat inside!

Wine was amazing, specially Chardonnay 2014, food was delicious, everything prepared with local ingredients. This place is like small Tuscany, totally amazing and magical. The owner was very kind and told us all about the history of the castle and the region.

Typical Istrian tavern with delicious domestic food. I was here only for the breakfast and "fritaja" with mushrooms and ham was superb. The tavern has terrace with beautiful view. The service is friendly and professional. Prices are reasonable. Great experience.

Drove past this restaurant a few times en route to our villa without noticing it but looks very modern and quaint. Whole family went there for a meal and we were so glad we did. The staff were welcoming and friendly. The menu has English underneath so easy to ascertain what you want (highly recommend the steaks).There were childrenâs food options on the menu which was great for our two children. The food was good sized portions and extremely tasty. The meat is locally sourced and the desserts are all homemade, even the ice cream. We had dinner two times at this beautiful place. Restourant offers traditional and local Istrian food. The food was very tasty and well prepared specialy pasta with truffles and Istrian beef (Boškarin). Staff were professional and kind. Highly recommend!!
