La Perdiz

We are so pleased that we stopped for a lunch in La Perdiz. Very polite people, made everyone to feel comfortable. Waiter made us smile all the time by making jokes with us and other customers. Food was VERY delicious and plenty on the plate. Place was not overcrowded and there were lots of parking spaces outside along the road. If you are planning to visit Tejeda have a lunch or diner at La Perdiz, you won't regret.

Tejeda is located in one of the most stunning settings I have had the chance to visit. The view from the restaurant is truly breathtaking. We have only tried the mixed grill sharer plate and all the different types of meet on it were done to perfection. The place is loosing two points because the plate came without sides which was not stated on the menu so we ended up with all this fantastic meet and a couple of grilled vegetables to go with it all. And even thought it is a place frequently visited by tourist the waitress refused to speak any other language than spanish and took it upon herself to teach us spanish, which we were tying but only so much you can learn in a week. We tried in English and German (none of which is our first language) but she still only spoke to us in spanish. She might have asked about the side at the point of ordering but with our limited spanish it was pointless really. I'm all for learning languages and I agree that if someone goes to live in a country should speak the language but it is quite imposibble to learn for the sake of a holiday. I little bit of effort on the waitress' side would have been appriciated.Dear guest, we are sorry for your experience in our restaurant:- We did not see the the plate without sides. Our staff speak, at least a little English, so we do not know the reason why that waitress did not want to speak English. Anyway, thank you for have lunch in Restaurante Asador Hemingway.

Como Como 15

Nice and cosy restaurant in the center of Teror, combining the typical Canary island style with the homely warmth of the Scandinavian countries. Vegetarian, vegan and ecological options.

Follow the sign boards away from the main square and down the steep, narrow street. We booked for dinner, earlier than most locals, but the place filled later in the evening. Very friendly and attentive staff, food prepared fresh and all tasted good. Good selection of beer and wine at reasonable prices.Went back a couple of days later for coffee in the courtyard. Very pleasant haven from the busy Sunday market.

We were looking for a late lunch in one March chilly Friday afternoon. There seemed to be quite a many nice looking restaurants in the very pittoresque and charming village/little town of Tejeda. Just looked inside in El Labrador and got a warm welcome and decided to enter for lunch. The food is simple, probably best described as canarian home cooking style, but very tasty, portions are big. Customer service is very friendly. We stayed inside as the weather was quite windy and even cold. They have some 10 tables inside with very local style (even a bit rustique). In better weathers they have also many tables additionally outside.Thank you so much for your description. Our goal is the pleasure and the satisfaction of our customers. The views of our terrace are amazing, but the inside of our restaurant is very warm too.We hope to see you again!

Restaurant placed in one of the nicest peoples of Spain where it will have an unforgettable experience of leisure and gastronomy.

We ate there on a cold day and kept our coats on inside. We had the local stew (OK), the calimari (OK - a bit disappointing) and the mussels (OK). We wanted to have pizza but the pizza oven took a half an hour to warm up and we arrived when the restaurant opened. There were only 2 choices for dessert and we tried the creme caramel which was awful - so rubbery it was practically solid. I have never known my daughter to leave a dessert before. There are better places to eat in Tejeda, but this is quick and cheap.

Do not eat here, for us it was a stressful and unenjoyable experience. If you decide to go, definitely don't sit near the centre island as this is the control panel of the dining room! Orders are placed here, meals and empty dishes are brought here first. Cutlery is taken from here. We sat at the table next to the island and it was chaos! There were too few staff for the huge dining room which led to very poor service. The waiters all had their separate roles which seemed a very inefficient way of doing things. Most were unfriendly except for the lady serving bread who didn't speak much English. However it is understandable as they all were practically running around the dining room trying to keep up. Also the waiter who we ordered food from was very unhelpful when I asked for more information on the menu. The food was poor, I had the quinoa salad which was processed chicken and plain quinoa. I ate the tomato, avocado and walnut which was very nice but the rest was inedible. The second course of fish was over cooked but fine. My husband had the pasta with fish but it was just a lot of fusilli pasta. Dear Claire,Thank you very much for sharing your opinion with tripadvisor community. We regret you didn´t like our Restaurant. We will check all points with chef and maitre in order to improve our service. Thanks and regards,

Highly recommended. We both had the beef kebabs with the brownie for dessert. The meat was of the highest quality. As you might expect the brownie was made with Almonds. If you are eating here at the weekend, it's best to reserve. We visited on a Sunday, it seems many locals travel from the major towns to eat here and enjoy the scenery. The place was full at 13:30 with a queue in the street of people waiting for a table.

We had dinner here twice while staying in Tejeda for a walking holiday and would have gone more often after discovering it except that it was closed for a couple of days for the Epiphany celebrations. Armando is a delightful and entertaining host, very welcoming and attentive. He arranged big heaters to make sure everyone was warm enough, walked around talking to everyone and encouraged us all to talk to each other as well. One night he gave the whole room a short talk about the history of the area and the origins of his restaurant. After our main courses, he produced big bowls of homemade almond ice cream for each table to share - brilliant! His artwork surrounds you and there are books to look at while you enjoy the delicious food. As others have said, the menu is limited, but it is easier not to have a lot of choice and everything was beautifully cooked. The wine was great and we thought the price extremely reasonable. An experience like no other, I can't recommend it highly enough.

Texeda Brewery & Restaurant

Had a pleasant lunch at this gastro-brewpub in Tedeja, well worth a visit. Dishes are flavoursome and mainly locally sourced-but I have my doubts about the black truffle. Salads were very nice and fresh, appetizing presentation. They brew their own beer as well, unfortuneately they were out of everything but Scotch ale and that wasn’t too impressive. I suspect that their caps are the same as most other microbrewers’, leading to premature oxidation. Hopefully their other brews are the same quality as their food. I would recommend going for tap rather than bottle.Dear 338freb, we are really glad that you liked our food and enjoyed our restaurant so much. We really appreciate you taking the time to share your experience with us, the other users, and your excellent rating. We can assure you that your comment will be a great boost of confidence for our whole team! We hope to see you at our restaurant during your next visit to the island. Sincerely, Texeda Team.

Biocreperia RiscoCaido

The BioCreperia is a vegetarian restaurant where the food is almost entirely prepared by hand. We offer a range of sweet and savoury crêpes as well as a tasty meal, which is always different, as we use fresh organic products that we grow ourselves in Acus

We weren’t even sure that we’d find anywhere to eat on arrival in Arternara but we stumbled across two close to each other, but this little vegan restaurant flying prayer flags outside, really captured our imagination (and I’m a full time meat eater!) They have a brilliant philosophy about using home grown and organic foods mostly sourced locally in the mountain top village. Everything is fresh, tasty and beautifully cooked. Ok that’s a big claim for my first visit but I ordered two crepes, one tomato and local cheese and also a roasted banana, toffee & rum and both were mouth-wateringly scrummy! I also enjoyed a locally brewed craft beer which was wonderfully hoppy and served really cold, a gorgeous relief on this baking hot day.The owner was really friendly and extremely helpful and clearly passionate about the food and their approach. I was anxious that we waited so long to be served but there is definitely a laid back un-rushed atmosphere here and SO lovely to hear fluent Spanish everywhere unlike the horrendous English holiday atmosphere of Puerto Rico where we are staying. This restaurant is a gem of a place :-) Gracias!!!
