We came here on a friend's recommendation, and felt like we had traveled halfway around the world to Georgia. We had no idea what to order, and the waitress was very helpful. She recommended a typical Georgian dish which was an oblong bread bowl filled with cheese and a raw egg in the middle. When you mix it, the cheese is so hot that it actually cooks the egg! remarkable! Followed up by complimentary desserts. Could barely walk out of there. And now they have opened a new one in Manhattan. Wow!

Luda's Dumplings

Luda's Dumplings most closely resemble pelmeni, a classic Eastern European comfort food. Typically with pelmeni, the dough is thinner and more delicate than ravioli, but not as soft as traditional Asian dumplings. Luda's Dumplings bring a modern twist to

Maybe it's better to take that food home and eat in comfort of sitting down at the table, yet it didn't really take away great taste! We came in there unplanned and didn't know what to expect, place is clean and food tasted great! We tried few dishes and souse that we used were very good! We going to be back to try the rest of the menu. Only problem is no comfortable seating, so be prepared to use bar chairs if you eat insight.

An informal little neighborhood restaurant just around the corner from the Brighton Beach stop on the B and Q subway lines. The wall murals say Paris, but the food is Russian. Fairly big, typically Russian menu. Very good food, nice presentations, excellent service without pretense. Most appetizers around $8. Most main courses $12-14. Limited beverages, but a request for just plain water resulted in a large pitcher of water with lots of ice and lemon wedges in it. Limited English, with some menu approximations like other Russian restaurants, e.g., "schnitzel" stands for ground meat, richly seasoned, shaped into a think patty, breaded, deep fried, and served under a magnificent jumbo sunny-side egg; "Tabaka chicken" is actually a Cornish hen, split, flattened to a butterfly shape, seasoned, and grilled under a brick or some other weight, emerging more moist and delicious than a Cornish hen deserves to be. Just trust the lady in the kitchen. A large party of hitherto quiet seniors did get up from their long table to folk dance in the aisle for ten minutes.

Small place almost exclusively filled with Russian speaking customers, the service is quick, and food is authentic taste and wallet friendly. Probably explains why it was still packed late afternoon when we visited. Short walk to the beach, the neighbourhood is almost exclusively Russian. Great place to visit for authentic food from the former USSR while in NYC.

Best Russian food on Brighton hands down! The food tastes truly homemade, everything is fresh and delicious. I always get soup there-all of them are good! Chicken cutlets and chicken chops are excellent. Compot is the best drink. Atmosphere is casual and relax, and more importantly waiters are not annoying or rude. Definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for good Russian food.

Welcome to the Russian corner in the New York – Brighton Beach area, famous for its Russian immigration. On the beach you will find two old style Russian restaurants – Volna and Tatiana grill, both belonging to the same person.  Volna is cheaper and simpler, Tatiana is more of a premium, though you will never tell that by just looking at it.  Don’t get scared away, the staff is quite friendly (though very specific), the food is good.  If you are here to taste Russian food, go for Kvas (traditional Russian non-alcohol drink), Borsch (traditional Russian and Ukranian soup), dumplings, blinis and more.  You will get the right hints there. If not, other food is also of good quality.  I has Chilean seabass and Greek salad.  Don’t take Greek salad, it is very strange and not good, but the rest was quite fine.Interesting experience both if you are a travelling to US Russian or if you just want to make a deep dive into the Soviet past years.

Fabulously delicious authentic Russian cuisine (and typically stolid Russian service) in the heart of Little Odessa. They serve the best borscht I've had in NYC and the stuffed cabbage was mouth-wateringly fantastic. If they delivered to Manhattan I would order in twice a week. Take a day trip to enjoy the Brighton Beach boardwalk and then take the short walk to Skovorodka. If you like Russian food you won't be disappointed. When we were there a dazzling version of "Russian Idol" was on the wide screen TV giving the atmosphere a real Russian flavor too. A fun and delicious experience.
