Love this place. Hate to pay $10 and get a tiny plate. This place serves up like they should. Today had a cheeseburger, onion rings, and coleslaw with a pickle. I don't recommend the onion rings. Not a true onion ring. Get the fries instead! Waitress was tired today. She was friendly but not the best server today.

This restaurant lives up to it's name. It has tasty dishes. Breakfast is what we usually enjoy. Husband loves the sausage split. Pancakes are the best pancakes ever! The blueberry muffins are homemade and TASTY. Love them lightly toasted with butter. Think they should change the name from Tasty to Delicious! LOVE Lily and Sarah! They are the best waitresses and always remember us! This place is always busy!

I've eaten here often (breakfast and dinner) and am never disappointed. Have even taken out meals from here. The staff is always friendly and even get to know the locals and regulars. The prices are average. The food is good. Would recommend it.

They cook quality food as a matter of principle and pride. They remember your name and ask you how your family is doing if you visited with them in the past. The space encourages talking to your dining neighbors without being intrusive. It's old Brooklyn and an important historical landmark.

Pete's Grill

This great little place was just down the block from my hotel, and I’m so glad it was. Super friendly staff, from our server to the manager and cook/chef. The dinner portions were huge! If you order a dinner, be prepared to eat a ton of food, the meals themselves were large, but add the breads, the salads and pasta, and your got an idea of the amount you are served. The menu is both old school diner with burgers, sandwiches, and breakfasts, as well as fajitas, paninis, souvlakia, pasta and a whole variety of other options. I loved this little place. If I lived in Queens, this would be a regular haunt for me

Champs Diner

Stopped in here recently on a trip to Brooklyn and was not disappointed. I got the reuben and a chocolate shake. The sandwich was delicious and came with an equally good salad (could have swapped for fries but I'm at a vegan diner, should get something that's, you know, good for me). The shake was very good but not as good as some vegan chocolate shakes I've had in Philly. I believe the description said it was made with chocolate (vegan) ice cream. If so, that would explain it - the best chocolate shakes are made with vanilla ice cream and chocolate syrup. I also found the price point to be a little high but I realized I often have that reaction when I do anything involving money in NYC. It's a good spot to know about and when I was there it truly hit the spot!
