This is a rather unconventional review, in that it is a thank you to the staff and management at this location. My niece has been going through some rather challenging health issues. She has good days and bad days. The management team here has been incredible, extremely accommodating, flexible and supportive. Clearly they are well trained and have a lot of heart. Thank You

This is Portland's "place to go" for all the sorts of ingredients that you may be less likely to find in regular big supermarkets. Charcuterie. Cheeses. Pastas. Sauces. You get the idea. If that's what you are looking for, check out Micucci Grocery. We bought a lot.

Homemade food, with some vegetarian (I am a vegetarian) and vegan choices. The help staff were pretty good, offering a few suggestions, and though it was crowded around lunchtime, the sandwiches came up pretty quickly.I tried the fakin' bacon sandwich one time, and the Thai tofu in a wrap another time. Both were good. I also tried the soup, which was nice.As a health food store, the price is not low, but the prices here were fairly standard for a health food store restaurant.The only down side was that there was not much seating and there was a bit of jostling as people moved around to place orders and eat their meals.
